One of the first things they teach you in the Army as a soldier... you will always need more ammunition than you can carry. Combat burns through your ammo much faster than you think it will. Video games usually compensate for the reality by providing you tons of ammo dumps or supply drops, but real combat means having to fall back to get more ammo rather than hoping you'll find more as you assault forward. This game is pretty decent at showing that particular aspect.
In WWI the British initially issued between 120-150 rounds for riflemen, but after a few years they determined that about 70 rounds was fine. Probably because the troops rarely ever even saw the enemy and got blown to bits by artillery before they could fire 70 rounds.
This game looks very promising. I bet in 6 months or a year this game will be wayyy more polished and playable. Should definitely do another video of this once it improves

Hey Drae I just wanted to say that attack of the dead men was a real battle in ww1 where 800 Russians had to defend a fort (osowic) against 5000 Germans: the battle began with the Germans gassing the fort with mustard gas because it was artillery proof supposedly killing all the Russians because almost no one had a gas mask and the gas masks the Russians used were bad. So as the Germans approached the fort they expected no resistance when over 400 Russians stood back up and charged at the Germans, the German troops were terrified and began retreating. The fort and it’s troops held the fort for another 8 months when the rest of the Russian army pushed the germans back

If the troop you are controlling dies, you swap to another troop in your squad. I really enjoy it and it’s free to play!
I'm shocked you didn't do Sandbox mode or utilize build features! I played and by utilizing build features I defended the castle with barely 20 casualties! The potential is amazing! Would be awesome to see what you come up with!
Would be interesting to see a kill count wich displayed how many kills you got with each spawn, and a total at the end. Looks super interesting though, definetly picking this up!
I think he actually is using the button. He is using the shortcut for it which is the space bar. When he was moving the arrows around, they were dull. But they all lit up at once time so I assume that is him hitting the space bar.
thr the game is good but I'm extremely skeptical about the game future because in another game from the same developer let's just say,the roadmap is a suggestion
i honestly think if this game is as moddable as ravenfield it might just outright kill ravenfield a big problem everyone has with ravenfield is the ai is stupid af [gotta be blunt about it lol] but this game is miles better with its ai and also has arguably better graphics as well. also ravenfield gets like no updates nowadays
Drae, please play more of this especially mod or multiplayer if there is in the future! I am a big fan of commanding in a ww2 game but ww1 is just as thrilling anyway so it’ll do, its very fun Drae, trust me, as someone who plays a lot of rts games and stuff, I really really liked this one especially the brilliant ai.

The Dead man Rise again... The First mission is, at least from my opinion, based on a real occurrence during WWI where, after gas bombing a Russian fort, a German Advance was hindered by the "Half-Dead" Russian defenders charging the German Attackers
Castles were not a thing in WW1 ....Polygonal Forts and Fortresses - yes (for example Verdun, Metz, Lemberg, Peterwardein, Przemysl and the before mentioned Osowiech and many many others ). But Medieval Castles - NO! Sorry but please, who/whatever ever kid made this game, go attend history class for a couple hours. Would be nice to see a correction here - rest of the game looks interesting

I remember being a german soldier holding out by myself in French enemy territory and waiting for like 10 minutes for my allies to get to my isolated position.
I remember when raven didn't have but three guns a smg a ak47 and a big rifle I think an awm but all the enemy's and allies were cubes they all looked like minecraft characters there is a lot of potential for this game in the future I hope he keeps it up
One cool thing would be have the maps fog of war being limited by soldiers field of view. So no Sniping a tank with artillery unless someone could actually see it

This game looks amazing. It's the perfect game for people like me who love RTS games but really REALLY suck at them so they don't bother playing titles like "Steel Division" or "Age Of Empires" Before devs started including them in games, the one thing I had always wanted to see in war and shooting games were environments that reacted to damage. Buildings being blown apart, trees knocked over, random cars taking damage, fire leaving burn marks on whatever it touches. I think one of the "Battlefield" games was the first to include that years ago. So glad that's starting to become more and more standard these days.
This game looks pretty cool. Despite the cartoony graphics, I like how the enemy AI use legit infantry tactics to slow your advance on the town, then fall back across the river. This game would get a 10/10 if it had unreal engine graphics.

Not playing the game, but the map says at the top execute orders. I cant tell if drae presses space to do that, but if not, your "mapping" of troops has never changed anything 😅

The First mission is, at least from my opinion, based on a real occurrence during WWI where, after gas bombing a Russian fort, a German Advance was hindered by the "Half-Dead" Russian defenders charging the German Attackers

Castles were not a thing in WW1 ....Polygonal Forts and Fortresses - yes (for example Verdun, Metz, Lemberg, Peterwardein, Przemysl and the before mentioned Osowiech and many many others ). But Medieval Castles - NO!

One cool thing would be have the maps fog of war being limited by soldiers field of view. So no Sniping a tank with artillery unless someone could actually see it

This game looks amazing. It's the perfect game for people like me who love RTS games but really REALLY suck at them so they don't bother playing titles like "Steel Division" or "Age Of Empires"
Before devs started including them in games, the one thing I had always wanted to see in war and shooting games were environments that reacted to damage. Buildings being blown apart, trees knocked over, random cars taking damage, fire leaving burn marks on whatever it touches. I think one of the "Battlefield" games was the first to include that years ago. So glad that's starting to become more and more standard these days.

This game looks pretty cool. Despite the cartoony graphics, I like how the enemy AI use legit infantry tactics to slow your advance on the town, then fall back across the river. This game would get a 10/10 if it had unreal engine graphics.
