  • The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program plays a critical role in the United States’ public health response to HIV and is the largest Federal program exclusively providing services to people living with the disease. On its 25th anniversary, health care providers and patients talk about how the Ryan White HIV AIDS program has benefited them and their communities.

The Ryan White grant saved my life. In 2003 when I was 19 and just diagnosed, I couldn't afford meds and Dr visits and the grant paid for it. I didn't have health insurance through my job and the county denied me benefits because the case worker was a homophobic miserable person. He was filling in for the day and when I went back the other workers couldn't believe it that I was denied! It's a strange coincidence we share such a similar name too! Ty Ryan RIP. 😊

I made the first Quit for Ryan, it was circulated throughout Texas Schools, yellow filled with ballons, each ballon eventually held the nsme of a child with Aids...It became part of the original portion of the aids quilt, which has now been seen throughout the eorkd by over 15 million people... each quilt piece is the size of a standard coffin.

I had a scare with this disease back in 2017, I was living in absolute terror thinking i was positive with it til i got tested a year later when I found out I was negative in 2018 my fear went away. The guy who had it never told me and til this day Ive been negative and wish that people who have it were more responsible to tell the people around them.

The narrator sounds African-American.. I like the sound of many African American females especially when they speak softly it's soothing. That's kind of why I like the forensic file narrator he was very calm too. I don't like loud obnoxious narrators especially know that I'm getting older LOL
