I only have the Nanmu 2.0 Spinosaurus, but I like this one too, bulkier somehow. A little too red bits, but believe it is easy to take a darker shade on it. Awesome you got it nicely on the base in the end. Great review as always!
Wreck it Ralph's arch nemesis Felix use to fix things, hence the Fix it Felix tagline. Sooo, seeing how good Andy's paint jobs are, I say Fix it Andy lol
I’m loving these 1/38 figures from P1S. I think the strength of this series are the sculpts. The paint is definitely lacking but man, I got the 1st version Rex, the Triceratops, and Brachiosaurus on the way. It’s the definitive version for each one in this scale, imo. I wish they would do “Buck” Rex and some raptors in this scale. I’m not a fan of Nanmu’s sculpts. 😬
I js got 3 of the “supersized” jp 30th anniversary Captivz eggs and I managed to get all 3 supersized dinos, the Trike, Rex and Spino. No duplicates. The thumbnail reminds me of my Captivz Spino
it's been a year since i watched this video, you have a very good review video and you always have, but i have some opinions on this 1:38 spinosaurus model of prime 1, about the sculpt i'm sure it has the most accurate shape of jp3 spino compared to all the products on the market in the 1:35 segment. because this is exactly the restoration product of Sculptor Jurassic park: Origins, this sculpt was produced in a large version before and it was reviewed by experts who worked on the actual animatronic version for its accuracy. the weird thing about the texture is because they contracted it a bit too much because the printed product will reduce the amount of actual detail of the 3d model, so this is understandable why it looks a bit odd. but overall this is a very accurate sculpt of jp3 spino
This is my definitive model of the JP3 Spino. I had the Nanmu 2.0 ver and thought it was the one until i came across this, i ended up selling away the Nanmu ver. The Prime1 ver to me is so accurate to the animatronic used in the movie that it feels like its just been shrunk down. The Nanmu ver just kinda looks off ? Maybe the head was a little too slim ? It is still a pretty good model but feels like Nanmu was trying to base it off the CGI model instead. But its up to your preference at the end of the day. I feel Prime1 really got their model exactly like the animatronic, and that to me, is what im looking for.
3:50 Nah.... Spino from the Camp Cretaceous is the same one from Jurassic Park 3. Confirmed by Scott Kreamer. The Director of the series. But it looks very different from JP3. especially the color scheme. Even Colin couldn't believe it was the same one from JP3. But it actually is. Lol
I will say that the Carnotaurus is still the worst due to its sloppy paint scheme while the only major issues here with the JPIII Spino is the feet not lining up with the base and that the paint is actually good but far off from being film accurate. The Nanmu Spinos are definitely better, but looking at this, it’s the best of the Prime 1 Studio figures, which sadly isn’t saying much. I honestly would rather get the Prime 1 Studio The Terminator Endoskull bust.
Usually I prefer getting official products but the third party companies keep knocking it out of the park. It’s a nice statue but the paint is so lacking.
Oh my, Spinosaurus model from Prime 1 Studio is so Dino-terrible. I feel i much prefer Dino Dream handwork than Prime 1 Studio handwork because i so impress JP1 Velociraptor model from Dino Dream, super well done sculpt from that model. But for this model from Prime 1 Studio is completely Dino-terrible 😞.

Better off with Nanmu
This version of the Spinosaurus is much better.
Awesome review Andy!!
For me W-Dragon's JP III Spinosaurus looks the best for this price range, nice video as always!
What are you talking about? Both their licensed and non-licensed statues are depleted in stock and inflated in price.
@@hudson_826 Yes I agree, but I''m talking about the original price, not the current market price.

Hahaha! It's not a bad idea honestly. I could probably get it looking at least better than it's current state.
@@andysdinosaurreviews No doubt
ALWAYS appreciate your candid insight on these high end JP collectibles. 🤘🦖
I remember this one took almost 9 months to ship to me lol its a nice one, definitely larger than the nanmu ones

Looks good, but not $185 good enough. A very expensive statue. That’s too bad as I’ve been into Spino’s lately. Just not worth that price imo.

Amazing looks like de CGI model , I think the W dragon is most close to the animatronic . Great review my friend
I really like it. Probably more than the Nanmu.
Crap it’s expensive but so cool.

Why didn't you keep both? Space concern?
Wait wasn't this teased all the way back in 2021 ? Man time flies
Beautiful!

Let's hope the P1S Giga would be a pleasant surprise.
Prime1 1/38 scale is closer to a 1/28 scale
awsome
Neither of those Prime 1 dinos are 1/38, but somewhere between 1/30-33 rather!
I think I actually prefer this one over the nanmu. On that one, all the details and paint looks too precise
1sstttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
L e s p i n o
not a fan of the JP spino but this figure is a buy, for the details.
Usually I prefer getting official products but the third party companies keep knocking it out of the park.
It’s a nice statue but the paint is so lacking.
It is hand painted so there can be differences because they are painting so many Spinosaurus unlike these collectors as they take a lot of time

I dont think it’s terroble
