Do you happen to have a step-by-step video or even paperwork which shows step-by-step on how to set up the Trane XR203 thermostat for use on my Trane furnace and Trane AC? I have my manual from Trane but having trouble in understanding as I tend to be a visual learner. Thks

I have a xr203 thermostat and It is set on 78 and they room temperature is 78 and it doesn't change. The air with the 5 minute delay on condenser and run time is only 10 to 12 minutes off for 7 minutes and back on. Is this normal? I have had the thermostat for 11 months.

Very possibly it is normal. Sounds like unit is doing exactly what it is supposed to. But without knowing many more details about your system, I cannot say for sure

It's a XR14 SEER 14 2 TON. MY HOUSE IS very humid I have a portable. Dehumidifer I just bought but doesn't seem to work good enough. I wonder if they installer has the wrong settings. It says AC1 AND GA1 is that correct? Thanks for your help.

I would recommend having your local contractor come out. You may need a whole house dehumidifier like an Aprilaire E100. ua-cam.com/video/MbR0-5Iz2kM/v-deo.html

Can the homeowner install it or do you have to be a trane dealer?

Hello. Which of these thermostats would you recommend for a Trane XL16c packaged unit?

I noticed there are a few different models/revisions of the XL850 - the one ending in part number -UA appears to be an older version, while the part number ending in -UB is an updated model. But what is the significance of model ending with -UBA? I see one of these -UBA models with a Honeywell EnviraCom 2.0 sticker on the back. What would that be useful for? Is the -UBA the very latest version of the XL850?

I just had the XV18 TruComfort installed a week ago (Southwest US). The 1/2° of the thermostat setting guarantee isn't what I've been experiencing, rather I've had temperature swings of up to 3 to 4 degrees in cooling mode. Is this normal?

      No it is not

I see this video and comment are quite old but I’m going to chime in anyway. I’ve got an XL 1050 thermostat that came with the home. The temp creeps ups 3-4 degrees above the set point late in the afternoon. This is quite ridiculous

Here is what I learned 3 months ago. Go into the settings (somewhere, I'll post later after I do it again and take notes) and clear out all error codes. I did this to my 18 SEER variable unit and suddenly, unexpectedly, it started acting like a 100% variable compressor - it amazingly stopped spiking to 100 percent compressor capacity. Now it finds a happy medium, typically running at about 50% capacity or less all day long. Temperatures reach 117 degrees here. Thanks for your input. Software needs revised, no doubt.

I have a Comfort Link II thermostat now that is pretty basic. The heat pump is a XL20i What are my options for a new newer thermostat that will connect t o a cell app or Alexa? It is a 3 Wire thermostat Looks likes D R B on the color wires White / RED / Blue

With so many modern designs for home thermostats, I wonder why these ones look like from 1995 :/
