I think it is up to this point Dilruba became totally evil - although the fact that she was infected with political intrigues directly from a very young age and that she saw her brother being killed in atrocious conditions did not help.
Halime is a good antagonist and we can see that she makes reckless moves which often backfires and makes her son's situation worse. She acts not out of stupidity but only out of desperation. She suffered so much under Mehmed III and Safiye that she is ready to do anything not to experience it again.

Honestly I believe this guy is the reincarnation of Bayezid ( in MC).
But when I can understand the the urgency of having an heir very quickly it's scary to finally see that a 13 year old child (since the real Ahmed took the throne at this age so I guess the series respected that) must take a concubine very early and must be a very young father. It's frightening.
