Apparently not its supposed to be trade secrets but yet they hire random people and hand them these documents and expect them to memorize these things
I think it's pretty standard practice when people are hired they are told all internal documents are not to be shared publicly.

That's immature. In some countries if you provide confidential internal documents, not only you will pay potentially huge sum of money but also could end up in jail. At some point, one should think twice before publishing sensitive documents just to get few clicks and subscription. I'd say you are lucky you only got away with just removing the video.

Honestly, I think they will come back at you because you're still speaking to confidential training materails and propietary "processes" that they have developed to spot fake cards (which if a scammer knows the exhaustive list, they can train THEMSELVES to skirt around the rules). Like you said, a GameStop employee won't be that motivated to really look for fakes. BUT ..... BUT..... a criminal who wants to scam a business will be HIGHLY motivated to make sure they have a process that allows them to fool an employee and so their knowledge of what the employee was trained on is invaluable.
A safer video would have been to look at "industry standards" and compare them to what you "heard about" what gamestop will be doing, and not speak to any specifics about the gamestop leaked materials.
The one that has the most money wins.
The problem is you SHOWED the entire check list on how they accept pokemon slabs. This is a no no because scammers will outsmart the system.
Leonhart and pokebeach both showed the entire checklist too. GameStop didn’t go after them.
Doesn’t mean what you did was right. You made trade secrets and proprietary information public.

For some that have worked for large companies and are aware of company internal documents, it is for employee eyes only, sharing those documents outside of the company is grounds for immediate termination should they be caught. Those that choose to display those documents to the public should be accepting of the consequences as well.

When They Say Cash For Your cards they mean “Store Credit” I use to be a Pro member/subscriber for years But after One bad Experience after another with Gamestop They lost my Business years ago. GameStop is going to be the real life version of Team Rocket
You dont have to mark IP if you give the document to someone under an NDA which all of the gamestop employees are... Don't blame Gamestop, blame the employee that violated their NDA... And maybe take some blame yourself for not taking any ownership of anything.. 😅 It's not disrespectful it, it's protecting their business IP and prevent people from scamming unknowledgeable gamestop employees.

I understand the lowballing, but Pokémon card "collecting"/selling has boomed so much recently that GameStop thinks it'll revive them. Common cards (regardless of market value) if the market is saturated they'll be bought for less so I get that gimmick. The horizon I see is that selling cards to GameStop cuts down time in selling unwanted cards or cards that are tough to sell even on Whatnot or eBay. So not for my 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard, but definitely for some cards I've bought in the last 2ish years.

I’m sorry they came after you. That is really scary that GameStop targetted you so quickly. The only reason I am a member is so I can get $5 off a month on pokemon cards and sometimes you get decent discounts on games. If I didn’t buy games, I wouldn’t enter the store.

lol, it would’ve been better if GameStop just open up CardStop. With money they raised from issuing stocks and card shops closed left and right, they can easily open separate entity. Better value for stocks and you will have card experts buy, sell, and trade cards.

Welllllll I have some 🍵 and supposedly there with be competitive pricing value. 70% trade in value is what’s the word. Usually with tiktok videos I keep seeing with 10% trade in value jokes but we will see what comes to fruition.

It makes sense because they dont want people to be able to learn how to effectively scam them with fake cards. If a scammer knows exactly what gamestop will look for, they can work around the rules. Asking you to take it down is perfectly reasonable. All that being said, the strike system is stupid. They should just ask you to take the video down. These permanent "strikes" are complete bullshit and put creators in SUCH a shitty spot.

@@zacharyroop1775 How do copyright strikes work? So GameStop themselves say "i want to copyright strike" this person or did GameStop contact UA-cam and say "handle this" and then UA-cam decided to do a strike rather than simply removing the video or whatever.
I showed the two options and explained them in the video. 1st option sends a warning and email to the creator asking the video to be removed or a strike will be issued in 7 days. The second option immediately issues a strike without warning to the creator and removes the video. They went with the second option immediately.
