I was only 15 in 1955 but I remember wanting to get a movie camera to film the last of the Soo Line steam era including the roundhouse at Glenwood MN where I lived. Never happened as the movie cameras were way out of my reach when I wanted to learn that in 1951-52.
I was surprised to find this and many other family films. My grandparents were not very well off so I'm sure saving up for a camera wasn't easy back then. If my grandpa only knew that nearly 70 years later his grandson would be sharing his train wreck movie on something called the internet!
Thanks for Sharing
