NLC Rejects Decentralisation Of Minimum Wage

A decentralised minimum wage means removing it from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent one. Let us inform you that the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, has opposed calls by some politicians to decentralise minimum wage negotiation. According to labour, decentralising minimum wage negotiation, would be at workers’ disadvantage in some states. The national minimum wage is for federal workers. The states may fix minimum wages based on its financial position
