It looks like Omega are raising prices on a regular basis now too. My Planet Ocean is about £1K more today to buy new than when I bought it 3 years ago. Buy the Aqua Terra now and you can’t go wrong. I did (blue dial), not as an investment just because I love the watch.
Rolex datejust inventory is overflowing, greys have their cash flow all tied up stocking them and resisting from taking losses when they have to move them - prices and demands have plummeted down the cliff.
No been funny but the date just is double the price of the omega ... but is it double the watch doubt it, I'd have the omega and wear it without the risk of having my hand chopped off or someone asking me is it real, good video as always
I get quite alot of nervous energy from John. I wonder if he's concerned about a homeless man he has handcuffed to a radiator in his basement. I might be wrong though just a feeling
So many compare the Aqua Terra and Datejust and they’re totally different watches. The far better comparison would be between the Datejust and Globemaster and/or Constellation. Aqua Terra vs Explorer I or the Air King makes far more sense.
They compare it because both have a date window. IMO Explorer I or Airking or pure toolwatches. But the AT can also be used as a dress watch, similar to the datejust.
I’m not a millionaire, but do you ever have anything for under or around £1000 , divers style sort of watch , I have a few Seiko divers that I love just fancy a change
Datejust with the Fluted Bezel and Jubliee Bracelet is reaching bonkers tiers of pricing. That configuration costs more than the Submariner whereas the Aqua Terra is half that price on the grey market. You can literally get the Aqua Terra then hound an AD for an Oyster Perpetual (it should be an easy model to get from them now), have a BANGER two watch collection that covers you for life, invested in two heirlooms to last generations, and it costs less than the Fluted/Jubilee Datejust lol
Hi Russ, feel free to ask us a question for the next one. If we have any insight to share on the topic we’ll be happy to do so. The Watchtrader team buy and sell in the market hence the number price related questions. There are some great channels like You’reTerrific and Teddy Baldassarre if you’re looking for some alternative viewing. Appreciate the feedback.
Not to sure about your pricing, the prices you offer for watches due to the market being low, yet you’re resale prices are considerably higher, something don’t make sense there, maybe that’s why you took me off your WhatsApp group.
They have to make a higher margin on a falling market where their stock is deprecating and slower moving. They’re not a charity and you don’t have to use them.
@@jamesturner8575 I know it’s not a sellers market but some of these sellers are mad, it’s surprising how many people are new to the hobby and being taken advantage of. Omega Aqua Terra … pfff… marketing has killed their Brand. Silly limited editions and 007 watches 🙄. Date-just every day of the week. Buying Omega is flushing your cash down the bog. Hold both in your hand, no comparison. Which one would you rather buy from a punter?
Every watch channel is talking Rolex because it’s their bread and butter. Checkout your local Ad’s. Availability is changing because the world economy is falling apart. Inflation and war kills everything.
0:52 "one's a rolex and the other isn't". Yeah I'd take the Omega too 😅
The editing makes these videos so cool. Amazing to see the watches, dials and straps change in real time. I love it
Personally, I prefer the Aqua
terra ✔👍🏾
said no-one lol
Lots of reasons to prefer it
Enjoyable video good to hear about the watch market.
I own them both, and Rolex is a much better watch.
Harry my man. Standing up for us Aqua Terra guys 👊🏻👊🏻
It’s a good looking watch and who doesn’t like a great deal under RRP!
Thank you lads for discussion on the Sky-Dweller.
Thanks for tuning in
Great Q&A, thanks for the work 🙏🏻 much appreciated!
Our pleasure!
In my opinion the bluesy one of the best watches ever 💙🙌
You’re not alone on that one
I totally agree!!
Omega aqua terra all the way , specially the new red dial just a killer , rolex is like Mcdonalds every one have .
The terracotta red 38mm - very nice, however, it’s not something that has passed through our shop yet. Quite niche

Any time!
Naaa I'm unsubcribing. This is just one big advert. Clearly the shop has slowed down and this is their first thought.
Sounds like you’re looking for the video we posted on Sunday - check it out for buying and selling in the shop!
Why do you think they have a UA-cam channel you doylem. For all that UA-cam Ad revenue ? 😂
@scotthighton3700 I think your missing the point. You really think their 'serious collectors' have Christopher Ward pieces in their collections?
@adakky202 'Serious collectors' buy watches they love, not hype. So yes, there most definitely are 'serious collectors' with these watches.
Rolex datejust inventory is overflowing, greys have their cash flow all tied up stocking them and resisting from taking losses when they have to move them - prices and demands have plummeted down the cliff.
If your primary goal is good value, go for Rolex over time it costs more each year and appreeiates in logn-term. Just a hype for century.
DJ all the way. The Omega is great too.
Well said
Great video, I prefer the bluesy over the root beer, classic watch!
Many thanks Ian

What's a protective fillim? Only joking, I'm Irish, and that's exactly what we say 🤣.

I have a 23 Bluesy Submariner , i see that the value has dropped , should i sell or hold ?
You will be offered likely below retail on that now unfortunately
@@benlee8697 I gave a yacht master 40 blue dial 22 for it plus £ 3400 aswell 😞
The bluesy needs a matt blue dial
I think that’s unlikely
I have the Smurf dial it came with it for a few years and put that with the ceramic bezel it looks very modern compared to the sunburst.
Watch film is great. I always use it… And I have worn a watch for six months and sold it as “unworn” due to film coverage. LOL!

Get a decent tag for that price 2nd hand,or save another 700 -900 and get a Tudor black bay 2nd hand.
Good suggestions @You-in6lm
Ok cheers where is the best place to look for them
WatF the bluesy is now selling for around 13K brand new 2023 unworn
Where?
I’m a big Rolex fan but I find dealers or flippers, Rolex vampires and zombies talking about value repulsive 🤮
🥱

Sure, there isn’t a definitive answer. People see value in different watches
Aqua Terra you can actually buy compared to the Datejust 😅
I have both. No it doesn't.
Rolex’s 32xx movement is a dud.
Any questions NOT based on price / investment / Rolex ?? ... anyone not a sheep !?

Why do you watch these videos? 😂
@@Watchtrader to see people who bought a Hulk at £30k crying into their cornflakes mainly ;-)
This is a terrible ad for Christopher Ward lads. Let down on this one.

How you afford to employ so many staff members whilst the watch market is somewhat stagnant is beyond me - but good luck to you 👍🏻
