My son was a videographer for a TV station in Miami for 30 years. He saw so many hits but never got hit. Worked on all Miami Dolphins and Collage games
Can always use a good laugh. Thanks for sharing. Sadly they don't like reporters in the locker room. This is what they get paid for. Totally uncalled for. He ran into her on purpose.
The guy who got run over at the 5:15 mark was carrying a microphone. It's shape is used to capture the on field sounds of the game and the sounds of the crowd. The big cameras used to broadcast the game are not very good at capturing the sounds of the game because they can sometimes be quite a ways away from the action and use their zoom lens to zero in on the action.
@2:26 if the point of the football hit her directly on the head, then she would have gone down, but it looks like more the side of the ball so no big deal.
-sigh- the video they are reacting to is mistitled. It’s not just NFL reporters. The first clip is from a college football game. One of the teams is clearly the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

3:33 it was a planed thing. She knew it was coming. She even said "it worked in practice."

The woman reporter that got hit in the side of her face is Pam Oliver. She is awesome, very knowledgeable about sports, tough and always smiling.

That sound guy truly did us a service by showing us just how titanic these NFL athletes are.
The big “shield” is a parabolic microphone to pick up sounds of the game better.
