This is why I've decided to study medicine. I've completed my degree in pathology, and now I'm pursuing a MD with an OBGYN specialty. THIS HAS TO STOP!
Anínesah Rodriguez thank you. This gives me hope. I am a victim of this also, and I was so full of self hate for most of my life. I thought I was transgender until 2014 when I found (my doctor found) evidence of very young surgeries due to signs of congenital adrenal hyperplasia afflicting me in my late 30s. I see the world completely differently now and I'm very happy everytime I hear of someone like you who wants to make a difference in the world through ethical medicine. So again; THANK YOU
I was tearing up when you were sharing. Our bodies are sacred and not just tools for hetero male pleasure. I’m so sorry you went through this and thank you for sharing and educating us
If he didn't have the surgery, this video would have been about how living with 2 genitalia was bad and all the stigma and depression and everything. The doctors did nothing wrong, it was a hard decision. Its this guy vs all the other thousands and thousands of people that got helped by this surgery and lived a normal, stress free life.
E M My understanding is intersex does not mean having two sets of opposite genitalia but having a blend or something in between. How do you know these surgeries were beneficial for most subjected to them? I don't think they by and large come forward and reveal their experience.
This is so eye opening for me as a gay man I appreciate learning about things I don’t understand because being ignorant is a choice and I am glad to understand now what Intersex actually is.
I can't even imagine having to go through that as a child ... As a grown woman it's hard to go to the gynecologist and have them looking in between my legs and that's with my own consent ...I truly don't feel like any child should be subject to a learning experience for other doctors especially when it comes to such a personal and private area... I'm sorry you had to go through that.
I don't know how I found myself here, but I listened to your full story and my heart hurts for the trauma that you've endured. I'm so sorry. Looking forward to part 5.
I sat here and watched from part 1. This broke my heart 😭😭😭. Doctors took advantage of your parents. I'm so glad you have the courage to share your story. Im curious to know how the parents feel now.
Damien Reese same here. The video came up & I watched it. I am so sorry about what happened with the doc's, totally appalling! I still don't know how to refer to Pigeon pronoun wise... I do know that I really admire Pigeon and my heart goes out! Pigeon... Thank you for enlightening me & so many others :)
watched by the same means as you, damien...so random but eyeopening! my heart is upset that this beautiful human was subjected to such deplorable and unnecessary measures by medical and surgical professionals.
What happened to you should never happen to anyone, I'm a student nurse in the UK and it has been drilled into us that we don't have the right (as medical professionals) to infringe on anyone's autonomy. It was the first thing we were taught, so it honesty makes me sick that these professional grossly overstepped, and abused there positions. What's even more distressing is that this is widespread (not sure in the UK, but defiantly in the US), something that so obviously against the moral foundations of medical ethics and the law of consent. Hopefully your story is seen by more healthcare professional, and inspires them to go on and become whistleblowers.
I'm so sorry this happened to you Pigeon. I cried when you said you learnt that your body wasn't your own. I have a child and I'm so protective over him and I am teaching him every day that his body is his own and he's in control of it.
These videos hurt so much to watch, it's almost impossible to watch them. But it would be a disservice to you and other people who were born intersex and forced into these procedures NOT to watch them and not to educate myself. I can't imagine how hard this was for you. I am sorry this was done to you. I'm so so sorry.
@caitlyncarvalho7637 I think if anyone can read the bible, and believe in it, that's great for them. I love that for them. But I can't. I guess I'm just too rational of a person to ever believe what's in that book. So for me personally, no. But I do think it's great for some people... like my yia yia. she get's lots of peace in her heart, and community, from her faith. for me though, as much as I WISH I had faith in some higher being, I just don't. the way I seek connetion is through friendship(s), queer community via things like dancing or drag shows, or doing fun things like taking new classes like salsa, painting, acting, pickleball etc. Oh and a big one for me is sports. I love playing softball. I also think psilocybin is a great way to form bonds and connection to each other -- which is as high of a power as I believe in.
The immense public service you are doing by exposing the people who did this to you, and exposing the institutions that continue to subject intersex kids to awful mistreatment is beyond amazing and MUCH NEEDED. Thank you a million times for these videos!!!
This video made me cry. How can people be so ignorant, disrespectful and unaccepting. I am so sorry that all of this had to happen to you. I am so proud of how strong you are to actually share your story. Not many people can do this. Stay strong. You are beautiful!
As one Intersex to another, thank you. You are so brave to share your sorry like this and I believe we all need to be more vocal like you and have your courage.
I'm pretty sure when the doctor asked if the residents could see you they needed your parents permisson to do that. What they did sounds illegal to me. Your parents should have been asked and should have been present. Plus I don't think they should use someone so young to demonstrate what the surgery looks like
Thank you for sharing. Intersex is a beautiful part of human diversity; it's a tragedy society and medicine have promoted unnecessary dysphoria on n-b children.
Thank you for this story, I can't even imagine how difficult to face such situation and I am greateful for your courage to share it. It made my world broader and more aware of the diversity around which I want to accept and respect.
I've never heard of anything like this before and it is exactly described as similar as sexual assault. I'm so sorry you had to endure this. My step son is 11 and I can't even imagine someone putting him through this. Sending you big hugs. I'm so thankful that you are brave enough to share this. I can't even describe how much I am learning from your story. Thank you.
I can't even imagine what you've been through. I'm so sorry for the trauma you've endured. Thank you for being brave enough to tell the world your story. It's the only way some people will change their views. Wishing nothing for you but the peace, love, and happiness that you've deserved from day one of your life (and sadly were robbed of)! ❤
you’re speech is so well put together- you speak eloquently. you also make amazing videos- where you identify words to the side- i really appreciate that. thank you
I've been doing a deep research about chromosomes and come across with intersex people testemonies. Trying to educate myself on this topic, because all transgenders misconceptios. I am so sorry that you ve gotten through this experience has a such a young age. This shows essentially how misogynistic is our society. I've learned a lot by watching your videos, so thank you for sharing your story. In resume we need to stand for intersex children protection, educate society, prevent this medical interventions without the persons consent. Educate parents, educate, educate... You're beutifull Hope you re doing well Much thanks from a trans boy from Portugal
I wanna cry, we need to stop surgeries on underage people that can't give consent to them like circumcision. don't really know how to put it in words but people should have the right to choose what to do with their own bodies and not other do their decision making
This is so heartbreaking! You deserved so much greater! They took so much from you, but they didn’t touch your beauty!!! You are beauty personified. Thank you for reliving this just to educate us!
Damn - my eyes are WIDE open to something I have never even heard of . I can’t even find the words to express how inspired I am by you . I hope your story goes viral to make ignorant people like myself more aware of this “ medical condition” so that one day it won’t be considered a “condition” and just another way some humans are born . Thank you for sharing ❤️
Disassociation is when things around you are more than you can bear and your mind takes you to another room or any other place rather than the present.. I have been there as well and once you experience trauma that causes you to do that, you easily learn to disassociate at other times when not expected. It becomes a way of coping in life. I learned this much much later in my life.
Wow... I just randomly came across your channel. This is a topic I don't really know much about, or have given much thought, but... I can't sleep, so I've just been watching your story, and I'm speechless. The horrible things you've been through. I'm so, so sorry... You are beautiful as you are. Keep up what you're doing, the world needs to wake up. Thank you.
There are many videos out here on UA-cam. Just go look for it:) Emily Quinn also explains a lot... The more people we have listening to us, the better. The more people that know the truth, the better:)
Pidgeon, thank you so much for sharing what you have been through. I'm saddened at the trauma that medicine has dealt you. I'm a second year medical student and can assure you that most US medical schools are much more progressive in their teaching revolving around issues like these. Lots of medical schools like my own host people who want to speak out about their health issues. I think that you could make a huge impact reaching out to a local medical school near you and offering to share your experience with the upcoming docs. Experiences like these really shape ones medical education and teach us how we can better serve our patients.
Upon release and review of your medical records have you ever thought of pursuing legally against those doctors who blatantly lied to your parents about what was (more like WASN'T) needed? This just pisses me off, you are beautiful! Your body, your mind, your personality, everything INSIDE AND OUT is just beautiful. You deserve so much better.
Pidgeon, you are amazing. Thanks as always for sharing your experiences. Others are learning from all of us sharing openly. I also really like the slogan "intersex stories not surgeries" you have been sharing. I am greatful to see you stand tall and speak, share your wisdom. Be well, be strong, be happy.
Thank you for opening up and educating not only me, but all of us. This is such a personal and intimate subject. I knew nearly nothing about “intersex” before coming across you. You are SUCH a beautiful and loving soul/energy. Thank you for all!
I love these videos. I’m sorry you had unnecessary surgeries. I wish I could factory reset your body for you! You are a perfect person just the way you are and don’t need to be altered to fit anyone else’s gender ideal.
I love how you speak from your heart. Thank you for sharing your story, it teaches all of us and puts a great example for the rest. We need to loose these boxes!
What they did was completely wrong. They should've let YOU decide and make these decisions yourself. What they told you and what they did to you is horrible... I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
I've just watched all four of your videos on this subject and I want to thank you for this amazing, fantastic series. This one brought tears to my eyes, and I want to thank you for sharing your story with us. I feel deep disgust for the fact that the doctors would even think about ambushing an 11-year old like that.
It is a birth defect, but that’s okay. A lot of intersex people grow up healthy and happy, so why surgically remove otherwise healthy body parts when the child can’t consent?
Thank you for sharing your story, it has been completely eye-opening for me and countless others. The majority of the world cannot begin to understand all that you have experienced in your life. You are so incredibly brave Pigeon, thank you for taking the time to use your story as a catalyst for good in this world 💕✌
Hi Pidgeon. Firstly, thank you for being so open and honest about a very vulnerable time in your life. I came across your video years ago and it always stuck with me.... Now I am in my first year in medical school. Funny enough, we are currently going over how to take sexual histories. As I listen to the trauma you experienced once more, you have helped me so much keep in mind what is most important as a physician. We have an obligation to be honest, communicative, and inclusive in order to empower our patients to explore all clinical options that are relevant to them, even if that means no intervention at all. Time and time again history has shown us that the medical community often has betrayed the trust of the people they serve, whether it be for experimentation, exploitation, or in your case to force you to fit into a preconceived societal construct.... My mission in life is to break that cycle. Once again thank you. For someone like me, you help me stay grounded , open-minded, and to keep it all into perspective. Thank you.
@@pidgepagonis Eeek aww thank you ^-^ Aha I'll see what I can do. And absolutely :) Enjoy the rest of your evening (or morning wherever you are in the world xD )
I had some of this happen in 2005-7. I live my own life and don't try to conform to anyone's agenda. I'm 76 now and hope that things are better for others.
I’ve learned a lot from you. Thank you. I literally cried because it’s so sad to hear and many people aren’t aware of this. Keep smiling my love! You’re perfect !
I came across this video after watching netflixs new show Follow This. This issue needs to come more to light. Violations like this should not be happening. Im so sorry from what youve been though. You are such a strong person, thank you for sharing.
This is the first time watching one of your videos and you are so sweet - I'm so sorry you were violated and the doctors who performed your surgery should be ashamed of themselves I get medical students needing to learn hands on but not acceptable for an 11 year old 😔 and the fact there was endless lies is crazy. Just makes me so disgusted- your SO strong Godbless lovieee ❣️ #newsub.
No... most people want to be 'normal'. Most people would be appreciative of the doctors trying to help them. If it wasn't for the 'Accept me' movement, this wouldn't be talked about. People actually want to be freaks these days. Like this character in the video. Please pass them a razor. The only reason she has the mustache is because she wants people to ask her what the deal is with it...and then she'll get to scream at them about how offened she is.
@@michaelr.4878 There is a difference between wanting to be different and wanting people to accept a difference that they were born with. People like pigeon were born different and doctors would make them feel like freaks. Basically all pigeon wants is for the patients to be informed at an older age and give consent for the procedures.
@@michaelr.4878 So you think it's acceptable to entirely cut off a girl's clitoris because it's slightly too big "when stretched"? And you think an 11 year old should be receiving cosmetic vaginal surgery so that she can better fit a dick in it? You think doctors should lie to parents and children about the reason they are performing surgery? And you think it's appropriate for an 11 year old's genitals to be made a spectacle of? Fuck. You.
My favorite thing about finding this channel is the fact that my brain is truly confused what category to put u in regarding gender, which I love. Our brains are trained to put people into gender boxes and I hate that. No matter the gender of someone, my brain tells me what gender it thinks that person is based on stereotypes but watching you, my brain is truly confused what box to put you in and I absolutely love that. You're brave and beautiful. Keep that up
I really resonated with your videos on doctors thinking that the patient is too ignorant or stupid to know what’s best for themselves, so the doctors think any advice they give the patient or patient’s parents will be perfect. While I’m not intersex, I just had awful experiences with older white, male doctors who were complete assholes and their white male privilege back then allowed them to be douchebags to me, and my dad. Your videos helped me realize that it is always a good idea to be as educated as you can on anything so that you can spot when a doctor or “professional” is not thinking in your best interest, and they are thinking on their own interests or acting on their biased advice that does not consider the patient’s situation. That way, you can go to another doctor who can provide better, and more thoughtful, care. Were your parents not as educated, and is that why they unquestionably followed the “doctor’s” advice? I don’t blame your parents, just the doctors on messing with your life. It really makes me angry that they would make you go through such bullshit.
I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope you've learned how to cope with what they've done to you, you were born perfect, and I'm glad to be learning more about this issue. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is horrible. I'm a med student and I can only thank you for sharing your story. I hope our professors will never show us a child in they way you were shown to people. Why tf were DOCTORS lying to you??? Stay strong.
I am so glad you're sharing your life experience with the world. It is my hope, your truth will help those who are suffering, or have suffered as you; will see that they're not alone. And, I hope it will also help the ignorant understand that there is actually three sexes. Male, female, and intersex. All being born that way. You're a bright light, a person who was put on this earth for a purpose. May you be blessed abundantly.
By third sex, I hope I didn't offend you. I just meant people being born differently than just male or female. Not surgically changed to either/or. I find it a disgrace for the medical field to decide an infants' gender by appearance, and mutilating them for no good reason but, to make them appear more socially acceptable; and to line their pockets.
I... I don't even know what to say. Im so, so sorry all this happened to you. And Im just as sorry that this still happens to intersex people today. This actually made me cry. You are amazing and beautiful and loveable and I wish that you could just... Like reset everything about your body. Like do a factory reset and reset everything that has been done to you. This is absolutely terrible... Before watching this series I knew intersex people exist as my ex boyfriends biological dad is intersex, but I didn't understand exactly what that meant and the things you go through. Im absolutely mortified by the thought and Im so, so sorry.
That's disgusting, spreading an 11 YEAR OLD CHILDS LEGS, WTF. THAT IS HORRIBLE. WHY TF DID THEY THINK THE HAD THE AUTHORITY TO DO THAT, THEY WERE 11 THEY WEREN'T EVEN NEAR THE AGE OF CONSENT TO EVEN SAY "go ahead.. Look.." I'm just so done with humanity....
I can't thank you enough for this video series. I'm learning how ignorant I am about intersex people and this video brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing!
The thing that totally confuses me is that they kept examining your private parts. I cannot remember a single time in my life when doctors wanted to see my gentials. Even when one time in a playground, I fell on my crotch on some climbing bars. I even had epiletic seizures and other stuff wrong with me, but doctors never looked anything else. I'm so sorry that they did all this horrible stuff to you. Part of me wishes that all intersex people were born in developing countries where doctors are few and far between just so they don't get messed with like you were.
Cindy Giesbrecht intersex is something that is "new" "interesting " in medical terms , so usually people is like "this is a unique chance to actually see an intersex surgery !"
Cindy Giesbrecht probably because she was at a training hospital. After surgery is performed the doctors always make rounds and check the surgery site. It was up to the parents to say only the surgeon can check.
This sounds so horrifying and traumatizing I'm so sorry. I can't imagine being subjected to this but I'm so glad you're bringing awareness to the mistreatment of intersex people. Thank you so much for this video!
This is the first video of yours I'm seeing- and the only thing I can say is.. wow. I am so shocked by this. I suppose due to my own naivety I never really thought about the treatment of intersex children. I knew what being intersex was, and I knew that some people were born with both male and female traits, but I had never sat and given much thought to what was done after the child was born. I suppose I assume they were left alone. I was completely wrong in that assumption. I am just so shocked that in society we allow such a basic (and blatant) assault of human rights. That if somebody is different than you, it is okay to strip them of their fundamental right of being. I am shocked beyond belief and I am so glad that I have been given this information. Thank you so much for coming forward and shedding light on this. I cant even imagine the impact you sharing your story must have on children who have had the same experience as you. Again, thank you so much for sharing this story with the internet. This is something everyone should watch. I love your eloquence, I love your level-headedness. Sending all my positive vibes and energy in your direction. Have a lovely day. :)
The way that you described the doctors and resident med students legit broke my heart. I can somewhat relate to the fact that the medical field will dehumanize innocent kids for research, because for about 4 years of going to psychiatrists and neurologists I was looked at like this anomally for having atypical neural pathways (my brain is linked up a bit different than most peoples) and so they constantly wanted to see how it worked and now as an adult I just refuse to see "professionals" for my mental and neurological "problems" because their treatments never did me anything but harm.
Kiara W i just discovered Pigeon's video series and wondered the same thing myself. But i saw in a previous comment they posted a link to their website (www.pidgeonismy.name) and upon scrolling to the bottom i could see that they've clearly been very busy with lots of important work! We hope they come back with part 5 eventually but we can't really hold it against them if it doesn't happen anytime soon.
8:12 I said your eyes light up my friend and I knew you saw something. It was an angle, a spirit guide, a manifestation of your higher self, or what ever you want to believe. For a split second, it was real for you, and I'm so glad you left that part of the video in. You are beautiful and perfect the way you were born AND how you are now. You are powerful and your voice is being heard. You can grow and change and love yourself, you can be authentic, honest, loving. I'm so happy for you and I wish you the best of luck on your journey through life.
On another topic, iv had several surgerys myself. Due to Bladder birth defect iv had 18 surgerys or so. Including vaginal surgerys (although they were done when I was a baby and Where actually medically nessisary). I was blessed to have a mother who was a big advocate for my body rights. But I can empathize with the feeling of having a body that feels a bit foreign and strange to you. In my case the shock factor wasn't there because I've never known any different, but although it's all I've ever known at times (my genitalia especially, but also my scared areas) has a bitter Sweet feeling of both being mine, being something I'm proud to have and love because it make me me, but is also strange and different and the shame that I should cover them, or have to worry about the possibility of redicule from partners...that fear, shame, uncomfortablness, is still there. I empathize with you because I know that I Can feel what your feeling, or understand your experience entirely. No one can entirely, not even another intersex person, only you can know what's going on in your own consciousness...but anyways. I can really resinat with the feeling of exposer to dr.s and I wish you the best of luck, and hope your able to let this pain go in the future.
You’re a hero I love how you carry yourself and how you don’t let what happen to you when you were younger change your aspect of yourself and I love your channel
You know what pidgeon I feel very bad for all the trauma they put you through at such a young age like you said doctors are suppose to look out for you however, I do have to say you've become a smart beautiful intersex person and I'm happy that you shared your story and you seem like such an open and inviting spirit 🙂
Thank you for telling your story Pidgeon. As a queer person pursuing a medical career I hope to prevent this kind of harm from being done unto others. You have such incredible strength and self-awareness and I admire you greatly!!
The quackery is nauseating. And the arrogance. And the ignorance. Who are these people who think they have the right to surgically alter a healthy child? FIRST DO NO HARM!
This sounds incredibly traumatizing, you are so well spoken and i hope you are on your path to healing because you deserve love, health, peace, and happiness as well as bodily autonomy. You are an inspiration
I thought a doctor “swabbing”me for a yeast infection and me missing my period for three months was terrible. Smh 🤦🏾♀️ it was like she hurt me really bad. But you were taken advantage of your humane rights. But I’m happy you’re here to share your story and living life to inspire and fighting for justice with others. You matter!! 😊💪🏽
I'm so sorry for what you went through. It makes me feel sick to my stomach that you went through so much. Thank you for sharing. This will help parents make informed decisions.
Just caught your video & as a victim of child sexual abuse as well as a sexual assault counselor at the YWCA your story rings the same as I am accustomed to. The only way one can get through the trauma is to become a fighter. I applaud you for all your efforts!
I started bawling my eyes out during this video. What happened to you is so corrupt and upsetting and I'm just so sorry for you and anyone who has gone through something like this. Also I thank you for educating people and telling your story, because it is so important and helpful.
I always let the doctors and students come in to look at me, my condition is so severe at a young age that it's crucial these future Drs see how it presents itself. This has been going on since I was 9. I've had them take pictures and everything, I even let them ask me questions and I ask them about what they're studying. They often apologize when I have to show myself nude, but I always tell them , no it's ok, you need to see this, a textbook is never going to teach you this. Of course, I'm an an outspoken, unapologetic, and very confident person, who doesn't give a crap, not everyone can deal with this, but honestly, I in courage people to show off to residents, we have a shortage of doctors and we need them on top of their game.
I started crying really bad during this video, I was molested by two doctors when I was 11, they told me that it was a checkup and I needed to be looked at and stuff, they stared at me in my private places, touched, fingered, stuck objects in, and took fucking pictures, all kinds of shit. I felt exactly how you described and now because of what happened I have extreme ptsd and a phycological fear of doctors, I have refused to go to one since, I don't care if I have to drop out of school for not having a doctor's ok, hell I don't even care if I get cancer I will not go to a doctor. if I so much as see a doctor costume I wet myself and have instant flashbacks. Number one thing thing I've learned in life is to NEVER EVER trust a doctor. You are a big support system for me and I love to know that I'm not alone
Your experience is really rough, but thank you for talking about it, your voice is important for future generations, so they don't have to pass through the same things.
Thank you for sharing your very personal story to help educate people. It must be hard to have to recall these painful times and memories. However I am personally very thankful you have done so. I am 42 years old and I didn’t even know that being intersexed (sorry if that isn’t exactly correct) was even something that happened to people. I ignorantly thought that everyone was either male or female other than briefly learning in school(literally one paragraph) using a term that I am pretty sure is outdating and probably offensive. They wade it sound so rare. Like a genetic mistake. It is so amazing to realize (just like everything else) gender isn’t so black and white. I love that you have obviously found yourself. You seem to have overcome the mutilation that doctors imposed on you. It blows my mind that with the current understanding in the medical field about gender (non binary&transgender etc) that this kind of stuff still goes on. Thank you again for teaching this old lady something I might never have learned about. I look forward to your next video!
Omg. The story gets so much worse how this story goes on. This is heart breaking. What a traumatizing experience for a young person to go through. You are amazing and so strong to get through this. So much love and positive energy to you❤️
This is why I've decided to study medicine. I've completed my degree in pathology, and now I'm pursuing a MD with an OBGYN specialty. THIS HAS TO STOP!
yes! would love to be in touch with you over email :)
Woow, this is amazing
Gonna be real this made me want to be a doctor so this stops, and thank you for doing your part
So again; THANK YOU
Thank you so much!💕

If he didn't have the surgery, this video would have been about how living with 2 genitalia was bad and all the stigma and depression and everything. The doctors did nothing wrong, it was a hard decision. Its this guy vs all the other thousands and thousands of people that got helped by this surgery and lived a normal, stress free life.
E M finally someone that gets it
E M My understanding is intersex does not mean having two sets of opposite genitalia but having a blend or something in between. How do you know these surgeries were beneficial for most subjected to them? I don't think they by and large come forward and reveal their experience.
Do you know with certainty that these surgeries couldn't have waited until Pidgeon was old enough to decide for themselves?
Where are these thousands of people's' videos?
I love that you are showing the world intersex is not something to be fixed. We can become a more loving/accepting society for sure!
wow. just the fact that they would rather have you believe you have cancer than know you’re perfectly healthy and intersex is mind blowing
lauren laxton-mogul right ?! I was like why ?!
I too, am very sorry. It makes me sad and disturbed.
Those doctors are sick.
Oh my God. How dare they do that to an 11yr old?? This made me so sad and so so sad.
I don't know how I found myself here, but I listened to your full story and my heart hurts for the trauma that you've endured. I'm so sorry. Looking forward to part 5.
Thanks love
I sat here and watched from part 1. This broke my heart 😭😭😭. Doctors took advantage of your parents. I'm so glad you have the courage to share your story.
Im curious to know how the parents feel now.

What's even more distressing is that this is widespread (not sure in the UK, but defiantly in the US), something that so obviously against the moral foundations of medical ethics and the law of consent.
Hopefully your story is seen by more healthcare professional, and inspires them to go on and become whistleblowers.
That's good to hear. Also, it's also definitely rampant in the UK as well. Check out intersexUK.org or xysuz.com
I’m sure the parents gave their consent
It wasn’t their choice to make
You've exposed me to a world that I did not know existed. Thank you.
I'm so sorry this happened to you Pigeon. I cried when you said you learnt that your body wasn't your own. I have a child and I'm so protective over him and I am teaching him every day that his body is his own and he's in control of it.
Thank you for doing this.
I wish everyone of us would be as lucky to have a parent like you.
Bohemian Books ♥️♥️
Wow this is so illuminating. Thank you for sharing your experience!

As one Intersex to another, thank you. You are so brave to share your sorry like this and I believe we all need to be more vocal like you and have your courage.
thank you for sharing your story. also love the quality of this video! makes it so much more calming and comforting to watch!
Leo Mateus awe thanks for letting me know that 😊
I'm pretty sure when the doctor asked if the residents could see you they needed your parents permisson to do that.
I'm so fucking outraged that this is standard practice. I'm so sorry.
Also thank you for being so informative! You're so well spoken!
Thank you.
Release all the doctors names...I just wanna talk
You're beutifull
Hope you re doing well
Much thanks from a trans boy from Portugal
I wanna cry, we need to stop surgeries on underage people that can't give consent to them like circumcision. don't really know how to put it in words but people should have the right to choose what to do with their own bodies and not other do their decision making
This is so heartbreaking! You deserved so much greater! They took so much from you, but they didn’t touch your beauty!!! You are beauty personified. Thank you for reliving this just to educate us!
I am so sorry that this happened to you and that it STILL happens to children. Thank you for sharing and educating
Thank you for sharing your story. you sure are teaching me a lot. Happy holidays beautiful soul.
V Reacts certainly the lesson I learnt is that doctors can be monsters.
Just go look for it:)
Emily Quinn also explains a lot...
The more people we have listening to us, the better.
The more people that know the truth, the better:)
i’m sorry you couldn’t sleep, but I’m glad you learned about intersex :)
These are my favorite types of comments! thank you!!
Please invite me to speak at your school by emailing me! My contact info is on my website: www.pidgeonismy.name
I'm going to get in touch with the school admin and get back to you then!
Prasad Akula : I hope this happened. Beautiful. :)
THIS is important.
Kailana Alaniz thanks Kailana! I do this for us 😊
Thank you for opening up and educating not only me, but all of us.
Those doctors should be locked up tbh
Pauline Davis ...why? They did their job dumbass. You’re supposed to have a dick or a vagina. Intersex is a birth defect.
It is a birth defect, but that’s okay. A lot of intersex people grow up healthy and happy, so why surgically remove otherwise healthy body parts when the child can’t consent?
uhm so y’all tryna jump a few people ? we gotta avenge pigeon

Thank you.
omg thank you!!! I can't wait for you to be a doctor. Can you please become a pediatric urologist or pediatric endocrinologist?

On behalf of the medical community I am so sorry that this happened to you and keeps happening to other people!
I second that #newsub
No... most people want to be 'normal'.
Keep that up
Your journey is a rocky trail of unfortunate events, but it is a beautiful one as well. You seem to have so much peace when you speak.
This is what's great about UA-cam. People sharing their stories. You are helping others for sure.
You are incredibly courageous to share your story and by doing so you are educating us and parents of intersexual children this is absolutely amazing!
intersex*
You have so much courage to talk about this, thank you for sharing such a vulnerable part of your life❤️
I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope you've learned how to cope with what they've done to you, you were born perfect, and I'm glad to be learning more about this issue. Thank you so much for sharing.
I really love the way you talk..
Your voice..
It's so soothing..
*Doingitmyway* thank you! And I wouldn’t say we’re a 3rd sex, but that sex definitely (like gender) exists on a spectrum 😊
🕊I am so glad you exist and made this channel!!!! What a gift! Thank you for your courage and outspokenness! 😘
Pidgeon, you are an amazing storyteller, I’m so disgusted at those doctors. Thank you for educating me!!!
Im so sorry this waa your experience. You're so brave for sharing.
Your strength in talking about this is so powerful - I'm crying. Thank you.

So heartbreaking. I wish you had someone that protected you when you were little.
The quackery is nauseating. And the arrogance. And the ignorance. Who are these people who think they have the right to surgically alter a healthy child? FIRST DO NO HARM!

*hugs* and thank you for the work you do!
I want to be a doctor and I’m so glad I seen this I’ve never thought about it this way
I started bawling my eyes out during this video.
Of course, I'm an an outspoken, unapologetic, and very confident person, who doesn't give a crap, not everyone can deal with this, but honestly, I in courage people to show off to residents, we have a shortage of doctors and we need them on top of their game.
are you intersex?
Pidgeon No, I have a severe form of inflammatory arthritis that I've had since I was very young.
This is fucked up!! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Those doctors need to have their license suspended.
