I have to agree. In my opinion, Pam was the knucklehead who kept messing things up between the two of them. Sure, there were outside distractions, but she was the one who always did the leaving, not Bobby. She's lucky she got him back at all.
I don't think Pam was as eager to have more for her and Bobby's lives. The woman adored drama. She wouldn't have moved back to Southfork after she and Bobby remarried if the thought of once again seeing everyone obsessed with JR, Ewing oil and the Barnes-Ewing feud wasn't mighty appealing. And just think, she could now obsess about Jenna and her baby!
Notice Bobby says Jenna's baby not my & Jenna's baby. But I think Pam was insecure because Jenna could give Bobby the one thing she never could a baby.
Vydio yes she did .. she wanted Bobby still .. she told him that she was still in love with him while married to Ray or living with Ray.. Bobby had to get her straight again..
You mean being Mrs Bobby Ewing is a job? Its was exactly because she was serious about it that she wanted a marriage not a battlefield that eventually torned all her relatives apart.
Bobby abandoned Jenna, so they were not having a child together. While in some cases I might say skip telling Christopher about Lucas, the Ewings seemed to suffer from mouthes as big as the Grand Canyon. Didn't Christopher find out about being adopted from Ellie and Clayton? Christopher wasn't really going to be involved with Lucas, Jenna still wanted no contact with Bobby.
Are you talking about Bobby or JR? Bobby couldn't care less for his child with Jenna. Plus Pamela have something Jenna never had: guts and a job. She didn't have the plan of her life being just Ms. Bobby Ewing like Jenna.
It's an understandable scence of Pam not wanting Christopher to be hurt..but at the same time doesn't she needs to look at where he lives and what family he's in…plus you have J.R. always ready to inflict pain…I think they writers should of least had the characters of Bobby and Pam compromise and have 2 homes one at Southfork and one not at Southfork…divide time between the two…
"I can't stand the thought of him being hurt...no one is going to bring him pain except me)!" Proceeds to abandon him without even a goodbye because of her own narcissistic vanity.
Bobby just committed something that would get you on the couch in real life. Showing opposition to a rule your wife already fave her kid and then putting her in a box with "....but I won't say it's ok if you don't.".........wives hate that move
It's not really a blaming kind of thing, I'm just stating what happened. And I don't think anyone familiar with the show would say that Bobby was trying to "destroy" J.R. If anything, J.R. was the destructive force within the family, it's common knowledge.
Bobby almost destroy JR's face along with that process so wanting to destroy his influence around Ewing Oil would be much easier. Yeah I watched the show, plenty of times so I know those things as well. Bobby sometimes could be so dense that he didn't cared about many things besides what was in his mind. That costed him a great deal his marriage ate some point. Offcourse the producers just wanted to add drama as needed excuses to momentarily split them up just like JR/SueEllen :)
Standing against JR you need guts. Standing against the satus-quo of a female Ewing, and get a job, even if it weren't the best job of the world, need guts. Living in the same roof with a man that wanted to destroy her own brother and allways hated her, her father and so, just because she loved her usband need guts. Also, everybody liked her in SF, what are you talking about?
Jenna was just a needy person that couldn't survive without Bobby's shadow. She had no purpose being a character besides it and the fact that she ended up with Ray, and the way she ended up with him, proves it.Besides if JR liked her it means the end of the drama. Jenna was a no-way plot. And Pamela hardly thinks about herself. She and Bobby had serious marriage problems because she wanted more for their lives besides him being obsessive with JR and Ewing Oil.He barely wasn't with Chris as well.
You need to understand as well that Pamela isn't just alone. You have Bobby that despite of like the ideia of moving out, that was his home that he adored and their son that wanted to live their with their family. Pamela ain't that selfcentered that just because she and JR didn't get along she would move. That was not the proper time and without her you had no show. In fact, you really hadn't much after that ;)
If I was Bobby’s wife in this clip and Christopher was my step son he asked me if he could go to Fort Worth with his class on a field trip I say let’s wait for daddy to come home, so we were sitting our bedroom Bobby comes home from the office saying how was everyone day I say mine was terrific, Christopher said the same he had his report card we looked at it and he did really well improved on the two subjects he trouble with John Ross helping with his class was wonderful then Christopher mentioned his class field trip to Bobby going to Fort Worth he gave his permission to go as I did as well we told him be careful listen to the teacher also signed his permission slip told him after dinner we would help him make his lunch for the trip, then Christopher left our room so we could spend time alone together before dinner. Bobby also asked me how my doctor appointment was that afternoon I tell him well Christopher is going to have a baby brother or sister in six months I am three months pregnant Bobby goes oh liane honey that’s wonderful news u look so beautiful so excited for us, then Bobby says to me Liane what’s wrong let’s talk about it before dinner i look at him saying I am just very scared a bit nervous as well as excited about having our first baby, Bobby says Liane it is only natural u are having those feelings u are now carrying another life inside of you we created together, I say Bobby thank you for being a wonderful husband he says thank you for being a wonderful wife and step mother to Christopher and now mother to our future Baby Ewing, momma is going to be so excited to be grandma to the fourth Ewing grandchild maybe another granddaughter I tell Bobby our baby will be a surprise girl or boy.
Gezz if I was Christopher’s step mother in this episode I wouldn’t have been overprotective of him yes I would be concerned for his well being but he is Bobby’s son my step son with my marriage to Bobby I would be helping him make decisions (right ones) concerning Christopher not fighting with Bobby about it, not my place to do that
Yes, a lot of it comes down to the drama necessary to keep a primetime drama interesting. But we'll have to agree to disagree with re: to the characters. I think Pam came off worse in their relationships woes, you think otherwise. That's fine, let it be.
You are so desperatly a Pamela-basher that make you not seeing the same show we all did... She had flaws and thank god she had. She was a main character of a series, what do you expected? You just love to hate Pam or you loved her so much that you can't handle the fact she wasnt they way you wanted her to be? Congratulations!
@redletter2008 If the tamtrum your talking about is the one when she SLAMED the bathroom door in the bedroom after booby invited pregnat jenna to live at southfork.I thought It was funny!
Since Victoria Principal left the show a mere year after the 'Dream season', I thought it was stupid to have her and Bobby get back together and then have her 'disappear' altogether. Would have made more sense to have Bobby marry Jenna and Pam either die of some disease or move to another country.
The heck with telling Christopher about Lucas, Pam and Bobby hadn't even dealt with Christopher's adoption yet.
I have to agree. In my opinion, Pam was the knucklehead who kept messing things up between the two of them. Sure, there were outside distractions, but she was the one who always did the leaving, not Bobby. She's lucky she got him back at all.

Yes Bobby does say Jenna's baby. I don't believe he ever really invested much in Jenna's baby, just wanted to use him as an excuse to harass Jenna.
Pam was making up drama for the sake of drama. Jenna didn't want Bobby having anything to do with the baby, so she was not giving Bobby a baby.
Vydio yes she did .. she wanted Bobby still .. she told him that she was still in love with him while married to Ray or living with Ray.. Bobby had to get her straight again..
Bobby is idiot
Priscilla Presley was pregnant ar the time, with her 2nd child and thats why they wrote it in 🤔
Had Pam stayed, it would have been interesting to see her descend into madness again, as she clearly is here.
Bobby and Pam's second marriage was doomed to fail the moment Jenna's pregnancy was discovered. There was simply no way it would have survived.
Perhaps if Pam had taken being Mrs Bobby Ewing more seriously she wouldn't have left him and Christopher.
Getting mixed up with the Ewings will turn anyone into a mental case.
Very true
You mean being Mrs Bobby Ewing is a job? Its was exactly because she was serious about it that she wanted a marriage not a battlefield that eventually torned all her relatives apart.
Pam just have never left the show
Bobby abandoned Jenna, so they were not having a child together. Oh pu-lease. Pam never held a job in her life. Jenna waited tables and opened a boutique store.
@@01Mary02 so you never watched season 2 and all of the seasons with her in Barnes-Wentworth
@@ItThats Ya, funny how she got executive jobs when she had zero business experience eh? 😆
@@01Mary02 She spend a great deal of episodes learning it. What's so bad about that?
Pam trying to spoil the fun for Christopher. It's no wonder he grew up to be such a killjoy in the new series

Sometimes, mother’s have to be like Mother Cats. Don’t mess with there babies.
Um, I’m confused, what does all this have to do with Christopher going on a class field trip? 🤷♀️
🤣😂🤣😂😅
Pam said initially there were too many bus accidents lately. And it turned into Jenna’s baby ruining their lives 😂
It's not really a blaming kind of thing, I'm just stating what happened. And I don't think anyone familiar with the show would say that Bobby was trying to "destroy" J.R. If anything, J.R. was the destructive force within the family, it's common knowledge.
Pam hurt Christopher when she took off after her accident
I guess since Victoria was leaving that's why they didn't bring up Bobby and Pam adopting another child.

What would you have had the writers do differently?
I dontsee how they be so unhappy with all that money pam was whiner. I think jenna acted more like. A woman
Marry Taylor true jenna perfect
