I don't think Kimi ever expected to become one of the most quotable drivers in F1 history. His comments are a perfect mix of petulance, unintentional comedic delivery and cynicism.
I didn't understand why people thought he was so funny but I watched Kimi in Finland from the time he didn't even have the Sauber debut contract yet so I was only so used to his personality. His reputation of partying and drinking also started already in the time he was on Sauber soon to be a McLaren driver but media outside of Finland wasn't yet so interrsted about Kimi. Now I see that for a foreign F1 fan he must have stand out from the other drivers. And not only his comments and quotes but Kimi is in fact one of the best F1 drivers of 21th century. Some could argue that in his prime he was the best of this era.

I finally understood why Kimi wanted the drink. He knew he could not drink it so he asked if the system worked so that he can get rid of the extra weight of the drink
Yeah that was so frustrating. He specifically asked if the bottle is being drained and got no answer to his question.

I never heard of this guy until he raced in the 2022 nascar cup series on a part time basis. He did an amazing job driving the No.91 car for Trackhouse! Im now a fan of this guy
He asked so many times if the drink switch was on because he wanted to know if the drink was emptying in the cockpit around him, but his engineer didn't catch it

Kimi will always remain an absolute enigma. Such dry official interviews done by someone with more personality than the entire grid combined. A big loss to the sport when he retires this year.
Maybe, in a way, the car at full speed was his "safe space" where he could truly be himself. lol just a theory

I miss those years in F1. Kimi's era. Ive been to Malaysia GP 2014.. Busy road, fans wearing the shirt of their team at the hotel,lots of fans.. It was one of the highlights of my life.
Such a classic, I’m sad because there will probably never see another driver like Kimi ever again. His voice and personality combo alone surpasses most drivers in history, you’re one of the greatest to ever do it in my eyes Kimi.
I don't know why but Kimi's angry outbursts are just hilarious. He seems like a sincere person though.
I guess it's because they're so in the moment. Hilarious but not mean. You can tell/guess he's not angry at them afterwards. He had a reputation of taking his mechanics with him on fancy dining places in Monaco and such. Basic team guy.

Totally agreed! We don't know if he will keep racing in another championship or not, but I honestly see him living a quiet life with his family (and the drink). Whatever he decides, we'll be happy for him.
