Wow. I'm 5 mins in, and Khon Kaen looks like one of the best places I've seen yet in Thailand. I hope to begin visiting Thailand in 2025.
I'm not technically an expat (I'm a very westernized Luk Krueng), and Khon Kaen has been VERY surprising to me. I had been there about 15 years ago on business and liked it enough, but it feels like a different city now. Vibrant and fast growing. Hopefully, as it grows it retains its flavor. I need to check out the mom & pop coffee shop you mentioned.
Looks amazing. Thank you for the video.
Im interviewing in a couple of hours to teach english in khon kaen and i really hope i get it. My goal is to become a permanent resident.
Khon Kaen, specifically the Bueng Kaen Nakhon area, is where I've called home since graduating. I've built a life and family here. Unlike the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, life here has a much slower pace.
Live in beung Kan for the winters and love isaan so much! 🤠🤙🇺🇸🇹🇭
I lived in Piman Chon 2 for 3 years before I bought a house off of Lao Nadi.
I lived in Thailand for a few years previously and always wanted to go to Khon Kaen!
thanks for sharing :) great vibe!
Nice gym. At 54 exercise is my coffee so good to see some good equipment there.
Looks a good place, will definitely visit next time we are in Thailand.
I live in KK, the guy in the pink shirt on the left side at 4:45 is easily one of the best personal trainers in town.

Looking forward to it - planning to visit Udon Thani next month.
Great info, nearing retirement and I am searching for a nice comfortable spot to land… Looking at Thialand and Malaysia, Philippines, possibly the Dominican Republic… I don’t see staying in the USA… prices are going up, and the crime, just not getting any better here…
What’s the air quality like?
Do udon thani!
Coming next!
Be nice if you spelled it correctly.
repeat after me, espresso, espresso.
Your gym cost is so cheap . Oh really. Let’s quadruple it then.
Why are you promoting it? Do you want this to become also overcrowded?
Reminds me of when Woody Allen was being persuaded to leave New York for LA, which he says LA’s idea of culture was a left turn at the traffic lights. I’d hate to live in another Nakhon Nowhere. May as well be dead!
