Beki is divine. I was walking down Acland Street, St Kilda one day and walked past her sitting with a crowd outside a cafe. It was 1998 or 1999. I knew it was her immediately and as I turned around to check anyway once I had walked nervously past her et al, she had those eyes locked right on me, like, "Yes, it's me. Hello." I've never forgotten it.
I was in Ballarat when these were a regular at the local. So good live. We missed them when they left to aim for the stars in Melbourne and left behind their nice, almost folky, sound.
I saw Matt play this in St Kilda at the beginning of July. He's still out and about. As for Rebecca, last I heard she's in California running a hair extension joint.

I guess he is sad for the level of nostalgia… growing up knowing your youth is gone… knowing we were part of this era & as we are getting older things just ain’t the same any more. People are detached & the live music scene + the 90’s were such an awesome time to be a youngster.. I feel his pain those days are gone forever.

The radio station also covers the Ballarat football league making the connection more legitimate. Had the same curiousity as you so had to do a quick research thingo (about a minute). Subscribing to the youtube page didn't provide anymore videos.
