It's interesting that "The Club" feared a Thargoid incursion of such proportion that the core systems would fall, they made this plan and carried it out. You say that it happened but not to the levels the club had forecast...i say it's yet to happen, yes the presence of the Thargoids was bad and this caused a huge loss of life but what if the other group of Thargoids or the Guardians were to arrive in the core systems...the subsequent war would be on a level theat the Club feared, let's hope this doesn't cone to pass. Another great lore video as always Drew.
The bit at the end about whether it was justifiable is interesting. My view is that the plan is technically fine, "the end justifies the means" does actually work so long as the end is good. The problem is more with what they COULD have done instead - just, let people know so that humanity could make it's own, better contingency plans without the need to kill a bunch of people. But they can't do that, because they'd expose themselves. They'd lose their power. Can't have that. It's the traditional flaw with "the end justifies the means" - the villains are villains because they added "and above all, keep me powerful and rich" to the end. Conflict of interests.
I am on my way to Hawkings Gap settlements. I actually stumbled on Morgans Rock asteroid base. I had no idea it was even out there! I was exploring a nebula and flew in unsuspecting! to my surprise i got interdicted!...Scared the crap outa me!. Didnt even notice the contacts or anything before the interdiction.. lol you dont really look at that panel out in the black.
I went into the dark of the Formidine Rift and I can tell you: it is all true! (The camps and all are in the game, by the way... including audio logs!)
People ask me all the time, they say hey, you're a fan of Drew Wagar, could you sum him up for me? What's most important to know, in like, 5 words or less. And I smile and say "....unwarranted sense of self importance." 😎
I read two of your books. Reclaimion was great . Premaditionwas great .the ending was kinda disappointing . Will be reading more about the history of the game
This was GREAT! Glad to see you back with Elite Drew o7
I just play to earn the credit. Learning more about this galaxy immerses me in it, thank you Drew!
looking forward to hearing more, thanks Drew ! 😃
Got about 6 months worth of weekly lore vids planned. :)

I posted my interpretation of the lore under the title “Project Janus” on the forums. If you’re interested in reading it, let me know what you think!
I read that book. Good stuff.
