You guys should have this in mind watching the rest. This is not gonna be a 1:1 recreation there are alot of changes Which was good and bad in different ways but overall I enjoyed this adaptation a solid 7,5/10 for me
I honestly wish they kept the misogyny of sokka in the cartoon. It's so vital for his character to go through a character arc when he meets sukie. Also It's a Great callback for when Katara goes to the northern water tribe where she learns how to fight. I think one of my hugest problem with the show is sokka as a character was very hyperactive borderline autistic and I kind of wish they kept that as a character trait.
So I don't know what happened to my comment I think it got accidentally deleted. Yeah I knew I wasn't crazy Appa was not in the iceberg with aang 😂😂 . Appa was how they got back to the village and it was a whole arc on whether appa could fly or not. Due to being trapped in a Iceberg for 100 years his motor skills were not all the way there and the only way appa was able to fly as if you said the words "yip yip" .Aang was not unconscious when he went back to the Village. General was zhao was supposed to get introduced during this episode which is how we find out that Zuko is banished because the whole episode he's talking about how he's trying to get his honor back but we don't know exactly what he means. Zuko's not actually the villain of season 1 so leaving out the Agni Kai and zhao. In the first episode is a little problematic. I felt like they could have left out the assassination of the AIR nomads and showed it in like a backstory that way we can focus on establishing the relationships between the main characters. But overall it wasn't a bad show it just felt rushed. A lot of it was Exposition they kept telling us and not showing us

Aang doesn't need his glider to jump off a building. He needs it to fly/glide longer distances.

I don't understand why people want sexist jokes so bad. I think sokka still have a fully realized arc and I like it.
