So, the owner is honest about the low boost & 800whp, and it seems to deliver! The scrapping/scratching sounds are surprisingly bad, too soft or too low? It's kinda like nail on chalk board kind of sounds. I definitely want to see this R35 on 'Ring again with healthier brake!
@@backnu Granted, the Ring pushes it harder than most, but some of these cars are stellar performance cars, but setup like a boat, or maintenance neglected etc. Noted by the TVR video, owner clearly wasn't used to it revving to high, and the suspension, i swear they were never that soft from the 'factory', it's not even like it was *just* soft springs, it was clearly handling like a hand-basket, it was 'broken' suspension and i suspect the owner thought it just would start crashing/being to hard on the road if it was made better. Harder doesn't always mean less compliant.

It's not a squeaky bed of a suspension. The tires are rubbing on the fenders because its too low. Owner needs to raise it up and work on the brakes and he's good.

It got it reputation of being heavy for when it came out, 2008. To this day and age, this is considered normal or even light! Even a G42 M2 is nearly 1800kg.

Jeez, for the yellows to be all the way from Ex-Muehle all the way to... Eschbach? That was a nasty one, even without seeing it. Hope they're ok. Shame about the brake fade, maybe a fast run up from Bergwerk would have been able to get them cooler in time for Mutkurve but it's a hell of a gamble with that much power pushing you up the hill...!
You can tell that this setup handles its power curve pretty easily and is on low boost. Engine sounds so relaxed and acceleration is so linear. Thank god finally we get a decent R-35 😂
Misha, love your channel, big fan. Learned the ring literally from watching your videos. Question, just solely out of curiosity. I just watched the SSR GT3rs video. Do you have a particular reason for not wearing a hans in the cars that are equipped with harnesses and you’re wearing a helmet?
Something like this GTR if you are going to mod it you need to upgrade the brakes massively if tracking it. Its 2 tonnes of very rapid car. It needs monster brakes. I would suggest potentially either carbon brake upgrade or coming up with a water cooled braking system.
I'm thinking the owner runs 345 tires in rear. or 325. GTR on OEM wheels and tire sizes drives so nice and smooth on the track, aftermarket wheels with fat tires makes the GTR handle like crap and feels unstable, I bet that's what it was! I really would like to see it again on the track +++ after being looked over and prep the car for the track, power is right on the dot!

As a BMW guy and actually a car enthusiast i love the GTR especially probably because i live in South Africa and depending on where you live you don't see these cars alot , this car just oozes crazy road presence a Nissan that's big and fat on the road like a pitbull running towards you i feel like people that dislike them live somewhere these cars are very common to the point where you could probably buy one as a first or second car , this is a Supercar through and through and as a BMW guy i would do unspeakable things to own any version of the R35 GTR , also I'm actually angry that Nissan stopped production guarenteed people are gonna miss a reliable monster of a supercar like this a car you can actually daily drive if you care for it the right way and keep it stock , definitely one of the greatest cars in modern history

See so many videos where the car is scraping on every corner and brakes fade after 5 corners. For me the first thing you do before any tuning is set the car up right and sort the brakes.
With all the upgrades to 1300whp should definitely invest in a proper braking system (e.g. AP Racing w/ DS 3.12 pads). @Misha How does this modded GTR track compare to the 992 GT3 RS? After watching you for quite some time i have a lame suggestion. You placed the rear view mirror perfectly on this video maybe you should try to enlarge the windshield MAIN VIEW camera like people who stream games and put EMBED this rev meter on a side bottom SMALLER and keep your reaction (cabin view) Recording on same position but a lot smaller. (ENGLISH IS MY 3RD LANGUAGE) :p :)
The downside to the GTR.. they are pretty cheap to buy and get huge power out of but they are expensive to maintain at a high level and they need the carbon ceramic breaks for the track. I would like to see a high level build from AMS on this track with a good 2000hp.
Judging by acceleration and 100-200 measurement it's got 800hp crank, not wheel, so probably about 680 on the wheels assuming 15% loss. Nonetheless still very fast and good lap 💪

Trust me it is 800hp wheel. The owner is honest. 100-200 measurement is not valid in very high hp cars. Better judge by 200+. This is where hp reveal their truth. This car with harder suspension and professional brakes can reach 300kph 2 times in a full nurburgring lap.
100-200 measurement is valid as long as the tires do not slip and weight is taken into account. An 800hp gtr with AWD is not slipping at 100kph in the dry. Even if it were only RWD, with good road tires and LSD you can still maintain full traction from 100kph with that power.@@akis510

Judging by acceleration and 100-200 measurement it's got 800hp crank, not wheel, so probably about 680 on the wheels assuming 15% loss. Nonetheless still very fast and good lap 💪

Trust me it is 800hp wheel. The owner is honest. 100-200 measurement is not valid in very high hp cars. Better judge by 200+. This is where hp reveal their truth. This car with harder suspension and professional brakes can reach 300kph 2 times in a full nurburgring lap.
100-200 measurement is valid as long as the tires do not slip and weight is taken into account. An 800hp gtr with AWD is not slipping at 100kph in the dry. Even if it were only RWD, with good road tires and LSD you can still maintain full traction from 100kph with that power.@@akis510
Either the GT-R is a heavy car or the suspension was/is quite soft or at least it looks like it, very floaty and bouncy looking.
the thing is so smooth it looks like you are going slow but the side view shows you hauling azz!
