Having installed this specific exhaust on a customer car before, it's 1000% worth it to just remove the bumper off the bat. Its so simple on the 458, its worth the extra 15 mins of work, for the room you gain.
Hey Dan I have a game where you can make your own cars so for my 458th car I made your 458. I added a exhaust, the King Of The Track sticker, a new fuel system, and even the license plate.
Sawzall is a brand name of Milwaukee. What you're using is a reciprocating saw (the style of tool) by DeWalt, haha. Great work, Dan. So nice to see people not afraid to work on their exotics.
Now that you have put the sports exhaust, you have to remap the 458 ECU, otherwise you will get incredible sound but with less power! This exhaust + ECU remape will guarantee you something in the range of 40 to 50 hps more! And congratulations the sound is amazing!
@@gordongekko5356 i was gonna say wth you talkin about but more i look at him ya looks like typical 50ish year old lol. I hope he doesnt take that as something negative. I also hope you said it as a joke and not to make someone feel bad.
Loeper's gotta feel you breathing down his neck now. Is he running the same style exhaust? Be fun to see you two do a "rev off" and crown a "Decibel King". Even if he is a bit louder, you can ALWAYS poke fun at his rims and take him down a peg, heh heh. Great vid as usual.
man I wonder how do pple remove the factory exhausts. I dont feel comfortable sawzalling mine. That sure looks like a lot of work. Since the S Line has no valves I am interested to see if it has annoying drones cruising around the city...looking forward to the interior videos to get a sense of the droning. Great work man I am sure a lot of folks anticipate a video like this
I've been thinking about getting an S-line for my Scud. Pretty big price difference vs an exhaust valve controller, but that sound tho! 10% off is legit
Much easier to remove the back bumper. I first did an X pipe on a local 458 but wasn’t happy. It was good but not good enough. Once he brought it back for round 2 I fabbed up some cat deletes. Now THEN is when the true high pitch sound comes. There was still some science to be figured out aka anti drone tubes for long freeway cruising but customer took car as is.
Hey NGS, I know this is a old vid but was thinking of getting this off your store. Could you explain why exactly the OEM heat shields needed to be deleted and how exactly you were able to determine that? (i.e. What didn't work for you to determine this?) Thanks!
@@normalguysupercar Thanks! And I know the valved version re-adds mufflers, are those sufficiently shielded by the new shields from the rest of the car's important bits?
Great vid !! Was the 12 hrs of labor worth the difference in sound from the Forza controller to the sline ? I am just wanting a bit more cracklin and popping and already have the Forza in my shopping cart lol
How do you like the race ramps?? Just bought some to install catless DP in my Supra....unfortunately I wasn’t patient enough for them to arrive and installed using 6” ramps. (Not a good idea) Of course, the day after the install the ramps arrived. Light as heck, interested in using them.
Normal Guy Supercar Thanks, now I just gotta find something to use them for! Lol Keep up the vids, I have been absent for a while (currently addicted to the Supra vids/mods) but I am slowly creeping back to Ferrari. 👍🏼 I have to say, I am impressed with your consistent response to viewers asking for your input and advice. It’s appreciated.
Watched for the fateful moment on the oil line... didn’t make the cut. Hope the temporary repair got ya home! Videoed Dan driving away from the Full Octane Garage... we determined we could hear him over a mile away... we call that a WIN!
I put a full Armytrix on my 458 and they didn't have to saw it off or lower the engine or anything to get it off. but anyway, now you got it sorted... :-)
If my wife would walk out and see me taking a saw za to my Ferrari she would literally shit a brick........excellent job Dan.. Forever making DIY almost look easy....
Had you done a 430 Scud conversion with exhaust out the rear bumper along with the more aggressive scud front bumper that would’ve been a proper send off
Sounds better than an F12. Great job and well done!
Thank you
🤔 F12 with an X pipe exhaust sounds insanely good. Love both sounds.
She sounds great man. I don't blame you with not changing it all. with a rally looming you CANT miss that
Yup!
I usually like to be subtle, but I would have to install that exhaust. I have an old 911, but a 458 is my dream car.
It's pretty incredible
Ohh I wish F1 cars still sounded good. The last year they sounded good was 2013...the last year of the 2.4 V8 NA motors. But...nice work.
Yes those were fantastic
Finally!! Sounds amazing.
Heck yeah
Great video Dan. It'll get even better once it cokes up a little.
Yup
sounds way better good Dan!
Thanks

Thanks Dan always a lot of work......

It's about time! Making us wait so long huh. Nice.
I've been busy
10 minutes of the new Ferrari sound please :D
I have a follow up video in which it includes exactly that!
That 458 screams now. Prolly will shoot flames once remove the cats 🔥🔥🔥
Hell yeah it will
Yep, ax the cats later and then we need a night shot for the flames!!!

Like the carbon vanity plate. Been thinking of getting one for my mineral grey F31.
It's worth it. Looks really nice
Sounds great Dan have fun on the rally
Thanks!
Music 2 my ears 👍

Very nice sound
Thank you
I see wow . Always learning. Thx
You're welcome

Yes and yes
If I were to get a second car to my lp570 I would 100% get a 458 with this exhaust setup. Btw great content, just subbed! 👍
Thank you!
Sounds great man. Wait until you get the full setup w cats, headers, etc.....gonna blow your mind. F1 car Monaco tunnel eargasms.
Hell yes!
Sounds great. Need a fly by video...
Yup
"Sawzall strikes again"...sounds like a Blake Edwards film. Man that was brave. Those exhausts are worth a penny or two. Re-weld and sell !!
Yeah I probably will
Flat plane crank everything 🙌🏼
Hell yeah
Finally! Yes!!!! Awesome
Haha yes

That or the Sawzall
Love the Tommy Boy reference... Holy Schnikes!
I love that movie.

@@normalguysupercar "There can be only one!"
Wonder if they got a exhaust for the 488 in the works. Will be interesting how they do that
Hmm that would be cool
Great video! Did you consider IPE? Why did you choose this over IPE?
Ipe is great, I love them
Be cool to have LHT Performance make a full titanium exhaust for the 458.
I don't know who that is
Shouldn’t the title of this video have been “I Took a SAWZALL to my Ferrari!”?
Lol probably

I would. The sound on the 430 platform is so nice
Hi, which was the exact exhaust you have installed here? On the website it looks like it had only 2 exit tail pipes.
Yeah it's the s-line
Ah okay. Thank you. It only has 2 exit pipes yes?

The "swoops" on the x-pipe come up higher than where the stock heat Shields sit. So they give you new ones that allow more room.
@@normalguysupercar Thanks! And I know the valved version re-adds mufflers, are those sufficiently shielded by the new shields from the rest of the car's important bits?
@@LateBrakingM3 yeah they are fine
If I only do the exhaust (S Line one you put on) will my Ferrari crackle like your or does it have to be turned?
Depends what year you have. The 2012 and later Ferrari put in less burble.

So was it the sawszal that nicked the trans oil line?
I think possibly!
