@@GriffRunning Cause Brooks has a history making firm shoes. My Glyc 17 were firm, and reviews say the Glyc 20 is on the firmer side. I didn't go RUNNING w/ it outside the store.
I got a pair of glycerin gts 21’s and I actually love the feel underfoot I don’t love all these super soft marshmallows shoes that don’t have any life or ground feel to them and the glycerin feels different like it’s soft, but responsive and is not really dual. It’s not perfect though the lockdown is pretty bad unless ur foot is very wide and the laces are clothey feeling so it’s hard to get a good lockdown with the laces as well and lastly it’s been lightly raining the past couple days and the outsole is very slippery like I don’t necessarily feel safe.. The 20 had a way better lockdown and fit in my opinion especially the GTS version the midfoot and heel really locked you down. Plus the 20 feels a little light and more responsive vs the 21 feels more like a high cushioned
@@Carlosediaz543Nice! That's exactly what I'm looking for! I'm stocky/heavy non runner gym rat with plantar fascia and the easiest for my pain currently are the gel-nimbus 25. I have glycerin 20 but they aggravate my pain too much right now. Hoping the new glycerin 21 will feel good!
@@jessa.3857 the nimbus is a lot stiffer and higher stack height. The glycerin has a lot more flexibility and isn’t as high off the ground. So I’m assuming the nimbus is just a more stable, and stiffer shoe, so your foot is doing less work and is in more of a stabilizing state
@@toby9999 ...Not me. I am a bit heavier (6'2" 250lb), so I prefer softer Max cushioning shoes and my Glycerin 20's feel firmer than my older pair of 17's and Adrenaline 19s.
I'm pretty keen to try these out. I put 870k's on my 20's and I was pretty happy with them. If it wasn't for my big toe wearing a hole through the upper I would still be running them!
Not a bad idea...was just commenting because I just bought the Ghost Max and love them BUT I hate the fact that they are not gusseted. Left tongue slides all over the place.
Bought myself a reduced pair of 20 glad I watched your review, looking forward to a run
I agree with Josh. The glycerin 20 takes a few runs for the show to soften up. Excited to try the 21 out!
No mention of new geometry? The heel has a noticeable increased rocker design
Love your explanations mate
Are the laces any better? The laces on the 20s were some of the worst I’ve come across… too short and super slippery
The laces on Glycerin 20 are so bad👎
Yes, I had changed and found great difference..
Walking in the store w/ the 20, I found it bouncy, but heard it was quite firm compared to Triumph 20. I ain't down w/ firm.
…but you wore it and felt it. Why not trust yourself.

I found them to be too soft and unstable, especially in the forefoot which felt kindof dead.
What about sizing? Is it the same as the 20?

I found the 20 to be too cushioned. It felt unstable to me with too much squishiness in the forefoot. It felt dead.
@@toby9999 then definitely don’t get the 21 is softer and has a higher stack height

I found the 20 to be a bit too firm for me.
They gave me knee pain. Too soft squishy and unstable and sluggish. I prefer something a littke firmer but livelier.

Light runner here?😅 making 870 k is massive, probably yr weight less than 70 kg!?
@@slavasss2189 I wish! 75kg and 169cm tall. I'm not massively heavy but could definitely lose 10kg 😂
Why does the glycerin GTS feel so much firmer than the non GTS
Because they have arch support
Is it more responsive then the 20/19?
Yes, it isn't a brick anymore, definitely recommend. Feels like it fits better than previous glycerins too.
@@hoodratcertified2137 The 20 isn't a brick. It's quite soft. Too soft for me.
Just weighted mine, and the 21 is 20g lighter than 20
Looks nice, but no gusset means I wont buy them.
No gusset in 2023.....let's goooooo brooks
Try the stealth fit

The ghost max tongue has been fine for me but Hyperion max tongue all over the place - fortunately no ill effect
21 heel looks bulbous like the Nimbus 25.
I hear stealthfit is more snug.
wow less rubber higher price, wallet goes on lockdown till Joey is kicked out of office
Where are they getting the drop and stack height? I see 38-28 not 28-18🤷🏻♂
