Thank you for the update! I've been looking for a visa appointment for more than a month from India regularly. But there are no slots availabile. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to book an appointment?
If we get a digital nomad visa, what's yhe minimum duration we have to stay there in one go? Can we stay for few days and come back and go after few days?
You must be in Portugal for at least 6 months out of the year and not leave for more than 6 months at a time. If you wish to work towards permanent residency, then this minimum stay requirement increases.
For the medical insurance, when you say duration of your stay, do you mean the whole year if I'm applying for the 2 year residence visa or the first 4 months which the visa will be valid for? Thank you!
It should be valid for 4 months, which is the actual validity of the visa. Once you become a resident in Portugal, you can access the national healthcare
Address of accommodations in Portugal (12-month rental recommended) - This point confused me a little bit. What if they don't grant me a visa and I already have accommodation rented for a year?
Yes, unfortunately this is one of the trickiest parts of applying for the visa, but is necessary for the application. Many applicants have agreements with the landlords or have cancellable reservations. When you work with us we will verify your eligibility (twice!) for the visa.
So there is two tiers, one to satisfy the nomad visa and other one to the stay of family. Both are required, of course. Tier 1: Nomad Visa: 4x minimum salary of Portugal (820 euros); Tier 2: Adult who is requiring (820 euros), other adults (410 euros) and kids (820 euros * 30%) I get it right?
I'll try to clarify what I'm thinking. the tier 1 requires a 3.280 € monthly. And the tier 2* will requires 2.214 € monthly. *considering a family that includes the digital nomad, one more adult and 4 kids
@@pedrofsnt For individual applicants, you must earn at least 3,280€ per month. If you plan to bring a spouse, you must earn 4,100€ per month. Additional adults are 820€ Additional children are 216€ You can read the breakdown of the eligibility requirements and income in our article 👇 nomadsembassy.com/portugal-digital-nomad-visa/
Thanks for the video! just a quick question: i am a trader and i'm also a blogger (freelancer), my income from all sources is variable from month to month (5200, 3800) but the average is more than 4000 Euros, am i eligible for Digital Nomad Visa? what do i need to prove the income as i'm a freelancer, just a bank statement? thank you again!
You will need to show freelance contracts with your clients to prove that you work remotely. It can be more difficult for traders to apply for digital nomad visas - they usually are not accepted. So try to use your freelance income to meet the income requirement. Feel free to contact us on nomadsembassy.com so we can discuss
As no official source confirms this update in the minimum income requirement. can you you please share the source of this information i.e. the relevant law?

Thank you so much for sharing your information. I came to Portugal 3 months ago. First of all, the weather was good but others think it is 99% of a corrupt country. Housing T2 housing asks for 12 12-month deposit I don't know if it's a country or a looting country. Government employees are lazy there are more than 400000 illegal immigrants just 317 employees working for them. Everything is mass 4300 euro is enough for other countries. I just share my knowledge. I don't recommend anyone to come. I also move. Pickpocketing is like a daily thing. Police are not responding if any problem happens.
