    6. The General Services Department requests authorization for the City Manager to sign a commitment letter with the Atlanta (Electric Vehicle) EV Fleet Alliance, led by Clayton County, seeking an EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant. The grant will fund the Alliance's Accelerating Local Government Fleet Electrification in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area for Cleaner Air and Healthier Communities project. The city's portion of the grant is expected to be $5,000,000 over five years, covering the cost of purchasing and installing electric vehicle charging stations, including infrastructure upgrades, purchasing electric cars, vans, and pickup trucks, and the cost of training city personnel to repair and maintain the electric fleet. The Alliance will submit its grant application to the EPA on April 1, 2024.
    7. The General Services Department requests approval to submit an application to the Georgia Power Make­Ready Infrastructure Program for (Electric Vehicle) EV Charging Stations and infrastructure upgrades for public­facing facilities. The program is designed to eliminate the most significant financial hurdle of installing charging stations by reducing the upfront infrastructure costs. This is achieved by covering the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of electrical infrastructure behind the electric meter leading up to our chargers.
