This has been helping me fall asleep each night, It’s like the trauma gets worse as it goes on, but this song heals my broken heart for a bit.
“And can the ear of sovereign grace be deaf when I complain? No still the ear of sovereign grace attends the mourner’s prayer”
Pray for my soul please
In my darkest trials the Lord was there with me in the fire! Oh how I delight in Him and in the truth of this song! Thank you!
During my 77.5 years of listening to, performing and teaching music I've occasionally come across stunningly beautiful music. This is one such experience! Thank you Sandra! (I'm not a "believer" but I can see this presentation drawing mulitiudes to become so!)
I can give providence science evidences as well as historical of you want. But also if you die where would you go do you consider this fate??
Wonderful, beautiful rendition of the excellent Anne Steele (1717-1778) hymn. Thank you. Glory to the Lamb!
Breathtakingly beautiful hymn. It gives voice and language to the life of a Christian - all its pain, yet also - no, MORE SO - the hope we find at the mercy seat, at the feet of our Lord.
Exceptional gifts employed for the glory of God - the way it should be.
My heart rejoices my soul breathes in the midst if this song. It is relieveing to know that there is truth in this that I can be broken beyind all words and things and know that I can run to mercy seat and pour out my soul.
This beautiful hymn sustained me dealing with the sudden death of my only nephew,Tom.
perfect, verse that can t be matched

Beautiful hymn You lead us in your salvation
And you took the correction with grace - well done, my brother.
So much comfort to me
I stand corrected. Twice. Thanks, guys!
They may use a different version of the hymn. Hymn lyrics often change over time. No lyrics are significantly changed
Thanks leemarc :)
Actually, it's from "cannest", 2nd person singular of the verb "can".
...actually, it means can.
look it up.
This is a beautiful hymn!
I do, howver see a mistake in the words.
"...For Thou alone CAN heal...." please correct that line that says "Canst" which means can not.
Thanks!
Actually canst is the 2nd person singular of the verb , " thou canst " ( positive not negative. Thou is hardly used at all in english now , although it may have been when the hymn was written, --- at least in poetry / lyrics . . Other european languages retain it. As in du kanst , german , tu peux , french if memory serves me cirrectly. K

Who else sings this.
Gadsby's Hymnal :136.(1800s")
Her voice bears a striking resemblance to Emily Lou Harris.
Scot Painter funny, I just heard a few Emmylou Harris songs before listening to this!
Sandra is better!!
This is lovely hymn , beautifully sung . However the noisy breathing spoils it somewhat . Could be overcome by moving away from ghe microphone i think. K
