I love that you work with all your kids on how to shoot, when to shoot, and why to shoot. My husband and myself have thoroughly enjoyed watching you and your family just living life. Keep God first, love and honor your wife, and hold your babies close and God will take care of the rest.
Agreed I was going to buy my daughter a 22 but we got her a bike instead come August on her birthday I will get her a 22 but she’s already shot two bucks during youth season with her 7 mm 08 Remington
Mullet Man did a catch clean cook with an armadillo... Can't let the Mullet Man out do ya.... Lol...
Awe man, you can't get a new gun and not shoot it when you get home!! Even if it's midnight when you take it out of the box!! Sakes alive 😖😤😬

Nice Huston
I was 11 when I shot a AR15 and I had 5 rounds shooting 100yards missed 1 hit all 4 other rounds I am 13 now
The fact that you didn't make any videos about your trip makes me happy. Family time is important!
I was a rock hound at that age also and Shot a lot of squirrels with my 22, now I'm 73 and still love rocks ,great video byy the way
Santa is not real Huston
Hey I love the channel
The town that you guys stayed in, G-wood, that area is loaded with arrowheads!!
Brandon do you know where they stayed?? I live in Arkansas and would like to check it out. Thanks
Is it greenwood because I live there
A lot
I live near greenwood. It’s not Greenwood
I love that y'all took a vacay without a video! Bet your wife deserves it. We go to Arkansas all the time too! By all the time, I mean once a year lol. If you get a chance stay at Cinnamon Valley 😊👍 with just the wife. The Mountaineer is amazing 👏

Nice I think it's kinda fun just never got a chance
Make them earn the money for ammo, they will appreciate it more, I know my kids did, will teach them the value of money, I think anyway, just FYI
Congratulations, Houston! I didn't get my first .22 till I was in my 50's.
I tried to buy some .22 ammo at Walmart just before Christmas. I was shocked that they were out. Didn't have time to check anywhere else.😕
This message is specifically for Houston. You get good at shooting squirrels have your parents teach you how to make squirrel slippery pot pie with diced onions on top
Ok!
Squirrel salad just like chicken salad . So good
Ya that is awesome 🤩
👌🏻
My dad can make some delicious sqirl soop
Get that boy to shoot with both eyes open (most important). It will help, especially when he switches to a scoped rifle. It gives you a much better field of fire. Particularly if you're looking for a follow-up shot. Much easier to acquire a moving target with both eyes open. Can't tell you how many hundreds of rounds I put through my 22 as a kid. The local bow hunters loved me because the squirrel population was kept in check. Great gift for a young man.
I love this video so much. Nothing better than a kid just hanging out with his Dad. 💙💙💙
Do some metal detecting...sometimes there's gold in them hills...lol
I was wondering if yall6dipped out when there wasn't a mention of the Christmas Star. Lol
You can definitely tell he’s been watching flair “catch clean cook” “trapping raccoons” !!!
You need to take Houston to the Arkansas diamond mines so he can look for his own diamonds. They have amethyst there also...
They have also found large emeralds in the Arkansas diamond fields
The crater of diamond park in mul
Mufreesboro AR and the Spiro mounds for artifact exploration in Oklahoma would likely be both something Houston would enjoy.
@@teresamurray250 Thank you for taking the time to give me this information and digging for diamonds lo in Arkansaw cations. I was a member of a Rock club back in DuPage county Illinois and many of the members use to talk about their travels digging for rocks in AK and WV.
Houston definitely had a busy day on this vlog. Nice shooting too Houston. 😎👍
Gotta get that boy to break that habit of closing his eyes, but even doing that occasionally he is pretty damn good 👍
I just got a Kangal pup. Reminds me so much of Bear. lol.
We have 4 kangals and 3 big great pieronise
@@jasperbeasley935 I am confused
I am so pleased to see Houston is a rock nerd! I am too! God created some awesome crystals! I will try to send a photo of one of mine!
I love you animals
Get Houston a metal detector and he will ha e a blast finding all sorts of cool stuff.
You should put a nice scope on it so he can snip squirrels from the front deck
@@bwpoutdoorsgames4841 me too lol
‘Jeff Barron’ just did a vid on squirrel gravy.
Break glass bottle for your rock tumbler to make fake sea glass.
Love it Daniel keep it up!!!
Bro you came to my home state? I live in south Arkansas yall should have came down for a visit. We could have done some coyote trapping.
Awesome thank you for visiting our state! I am from Stuttgart Arkansas. Hope y'all enjoyed your stay here! Very nice Christmas gift Houston.
You are giving your kids a great childhood to remember I'm 57 and I remember spending my summers at my grandparents house in Mississippi 320 Acres
😀
Poor cold little turtle running all over your property, trying to find his shell.
CONGRATULATIONS Houston on the 22 rifle. And hunting for rocks brings back lots of memories.
My dad has an Irrigation lake near Beaver Dam Creek. We used to think it was cool finding beaver cuttings and sign...until they would burrow into the lake dam like a muskrat. On several occasions they have caused the dam to leak which is expensive to repair.
Take Houston to the crater of diamonds in south east Arkansas hed love that
Save your .22 shell casings as they can be reloaded. I kid you not. Cast your own boolits out of lead an make your primers out of white tipped matches. Someone makes a kit for this. If you shoot a lot you should get into reloading. It's not hard an not expensive if you don't go over board. God Bless you an your family for this New Year !
Have Houston open both eye's when targeting. It will help him in the long run. Love you guys!
I think I was 2 when I shot my first gun it was a single shot 22 lr I shot a 20 gauge when I was 5 12 gauge when I was 8 and I just got to love shooting more and more ive know got to shoot a 45 acp 9mm and I have a 22 walther which is the best 22 pistol in my opinion I plan on getting a 12 gauge to shoot permanently in a year I’m hoping to save enough money for a beretta once Houston gets old enough I would get him started on a 243 I shoot a 270 currently though and it’s nice to see a kid who knows his gun safety and knows how to operate the gun.
You guys are the most calm and nice people on UA-cam
Houston I’m your pops age and I just have to say that I am so jealous of your Christmas Gift..that 22 Riffle is awesome and I love the clip and boy does that thing shoot well. I’m going to go out and try to find me one like it. Good luck on them Squirrels and always remember safety first. Keep your safety on at all times and always point your barrel to the ground til your ready to shoot..take care buddy and have your dad get you a box of CB caps..they are fun to shoot and hardly any noise. And what’s also pretty fun is Walmart sells caps for plastic pop bottles that allow you to pump air into the bottle with a tire pump and when you shoot the bottle it explodes and you can find the bottle caps and reuse them..
"Right behind you where you put them". How many times have I heard that. :)
Take a string, tie a washer on it. Put a slit in a tennis ball, insert washer. Tie string to tree branch. Great for shooting with a 22, you know when you hit it, it will spin. You don't have to re-set it or walk up on it to check. Plus they are cheap and can take a lot of hits.
The best target I've ever found is a coke can filled with water it lets you know immediately if you hit or not
I think the reason why he was standing on the damn is he was probably walking through that day and probably seen the otters and then they probably jumped over the side of the damn into the water so he was probably wondering what the heck those things were so he walked over to the dam and you can see he's looking in the water I bet you he saw the otters and was just wondering what they were so he walked over to investigate LOL that deers probably never seen otters or anything like that before curious but yeah that's crazy how that back leg on him looks you can tell he used it in quite a while
Needs to learn to hold the weapon, don't rest on anything except your hand and the master hand never comes of the weapon until it is unloaded
Well who asked you anyhow And how rude of you not to support and encourage a young man as he's learning how to shoot! Was you perfect when you was just starting out learning how to shoot!? I didn't think so
Actually the "master hand" was the first thing I learnt. Over a 24 year period in the Army and a further ten years doing formal investigations into fire arms incidents I saw the results of badly handled weapons and to point out weapon safety is not being rude. It may well, save his life or the life of someone else
Hi...... Thank you for showing your video homestead 🏡🎥👍👍👍
Houston why are wearing ear muffs When you’re shooting the 22 it’s not even loud
There is a diamond mine located in Arkansas. Where you can look for diamonds.
Yeeeeessssss sssssiiiiirrrrr love from south africa!!
WOW!!
What are you going to do if the otters get in the pond? I've seen more this year than the last 20 and I'm nervous they'll get in our ponds and start eating all the fish!!
There are diamonds found in Arkansas, I remember digging in a state park for them. I think the state park is called Crater of Diamonds.
Yes it is the crater of diamonds
Yep, we vacationed there long ago. I dug up a piece of glass and thought it was a diamond :)
Diamond Crater State Park
We have found Turquoise in New Mexico. Found Ruby and Emerald in Franklin, Tenn.
Get that boy a gold pan. He can pan for crystals and maybe see little gold too.
I found a buck skull while squirrel hunting a few weeks ago
About the size of yours it was buy the highway
Thank you for sharing your amazing son Huston with us❤️
I have a 70 year old single shot 22 lr. And it shoots like a dream.
I see a “fanny pack” in Houston’s future. They are great conversation starters and will make a “fashion” comeback, I know! 😉.
Houston,
when you’re out collecting rocks do remember to bring a little squirt bottle of water. This will help you to see the “true color” and shine of the rocks. 👍
Daniel,
please 🙏 get Houston a rock tumbler. It’s so very exciting to see all the colors and patterns in each rock. Oh, and also a rock tumbler is a great lesson in patience, you will find out why when Houston gets one. 😁😂
God Bless!
Huston I watch your vids all the time and keep them up and yours is the same as my 22it’s the same one
that's a pretty neat gun I am glad Houston has found something he likes to do
We’re going to try and do a catch clean cook with beaver here in northern Ontario. Looking forward to seeing your video on that!
Good Evening to Arms Family Homestead and all others too!
Good evening
Good Evening to you, Wykeisha!
reminds me of when my daughter wanted to go panning for gold in the timber because she found some quartz and some tv show had said "where there is quartz there is gold"
I would start using clay pigeons targets because sometimes they act just like squirrels
Think about getting a reioader. 3 new guns, same caliber. Reload them all. Save money
My dad always found his flint and arrowheads in plowed up peanut fields of his friends in eastern Oklahoma.
Why is he not wearing safety glasses when shooting a rifle?
Lol, "Limpy gimpie". Daniel, can you please take us on a tour of all of your deer mounts. The one to the right of your door is impressive! I'd love to hear the stories behind them all.
Gotta love Arkansas, I’ve called it home for all of my years.
Houston, so Happy 😊 about his rifle. Happy New Year's Arms Family 👪. May God continue shielding your Family, well All his Children.🐾🐕🦺🐕
Well congratulations Mr. Houston on your very 1st rifle! I'm so proud of you! you're grown up into a fine young country man!
Your gonna have fun with that Houston looks good
Maybe a metal detector while you walk searching out scat and rocks.
Cool 😎
I have only one suggestion...please put safety goggles on Houston when he shoots. Otherwise, I applaud everything you all are doing to teach gun safety and knowledge to the kids. You are teaching them how to care for themselves through gardening, fishing and hunting. Please keep posting the great videos and we'll keep watching them at our home.
Nice job guys, way to practice safety. That's a huge buck running around.
My wife loved your "inner nerd" comment! I found it quite humorous also. I had a passed down single shot when I was 12, but I didn't have money for the ammo. I got to go hunting with my neighbor once, and he gave me a few shells to use. I guess that's why I never became an avid hunter, yet I love seeing young people getting and using their freedom sticks, contributing to their families food reserves. Have a great day!
It’s a 22 look at what he shoots a deer with Daniel year an awesome dad me and my dad do the same
Am 9 and this is my dad”s account he tought me how to drive a snowmobile
No
Well I have a 308 and a good dog, does that count?
“Squirrel brains make you smart” according to Miss Kay
Geology was one of my favorite classes in college: had not a thing to do with my major...just fun!
Hey Arms Family! Wish I could have been your kids 50-plus years ago!! Just keep a close eye that Houston doesn’t mistake Gemma for a squirrel!! 😂😂
Beepers! That garage looks like a full blown warehouse!! That didn't take but a min!! Merry Christmas!! Ya'll have a special place in my heart.
I went rabbit hunting with my dad when I was younger. I learned how to shoot using a 4 10 shotgun.
my first gun was a 20 gauge
Do you know what you should add to your shop a pocket knife
Brett. 20/20 outdoor not like it's my worst year
OMG, I am 11 and I went on my first squirrel hunt with my friends yesterday. I think I had beginners luck because I was the only one who could get one.
Congratulations Houston and kiddos on the 22’s. I love shooting mine and use it often. Squirrel hunting is fun especially with a 22. Find a friend with a good squirrel dog and you can have a blast with it.
Nice gun
I thought I saw y’all I live in Arkansas
Wow that’s cool Houston,my dad got me a Savage 243 rifle.I’ll have to show him that gun, when you were showing the camera the 22 Jemma was like “LEAFS MUST DIE!” 🤣🤣🤣
I got a 20 gauge pump shotgun for Christmas
At first when I saw the bullets I was like “omg he got a 223” but then when they said 22 i was confused because the bullets looked so big next to his small hands.
