technically he didn't ruin it, he just made an alternate version, the original still exists in the form of sound we're all familiar with and love, this is simply a branch off and we all know that branches dont always grow the way you want them too, which is why people constantly feel the need to tamper with a trees natural shape, and the circle is complete :)
