    My curl looks a lot like yours and I'm definitely considering doing this for some long backpacking trips. People don't understand how difficult curly hair is to manage! I love how relaxed and wavy it turned out!

    I'm so glad I figured out this whole Brazilian blowout bc my hair situation in school life is about to end up putting it my hair up in ponytails bc it's so not manageable and when I was younger I had extremely natural straight hair and it just changed completely

    I like my curls I just wish it wasn’t so frizzy. I got My first Brazilian keratin treatment the other day and I finally washed it and I didn’t lose all my curls I would only recommend a person who likes their curls I would recommend this treatment only twice a year

    I have the same hair and my story is similar. My hair was straight/wavy/poofy until 6th or 7th grade and then got curly. I just got a Brazilian Blowout today, but had her leave a little more curl in mine. I mostly wanted to get rid of the frizz. My stylist had me wear a pair of glasses while she did mine so I didn't have any eye irritation. I didn't smell anything at all while she was doing it. So far I really like it! :)

    I understand the desire for straight hair, but when I look at people with curly hair naturally, I expect a lot of imperfection that's attractive in its unique way. It has a lot of its own personality, it's unpredictable, and responds to its environment. That's very cool to me, pretty and interesting.

    • @sarahgale8695
      @sarahgale8695 6 років тому +15

      it's only cool if it looks relatively okay. mine is just a poofy frizzy mess that has random loose wavy curl things mostly under the top layer of hair. the top layer of my hair is mostly straight but also super frizzy. even when i wear it tied up in a pony tail it frizzes out of the tie so my head looks staticy frizzy and my ponytail is a mix of frizzy frazzle and some curly bits. i have to use a super heavy hydrating shampoo and conditioner and sometimes leave ins just so that my hair is less frizzy. i never blow dry or heat style because it makes this mess worse if it gets damaged on top of my crappy natural hair look...
      used to straighten all the time when i was in school, but it left me with split ends and didn't last long in humid weather anyways. it would usually still be frizzy but not as poofy as long as the curls stayed down. i've always envied both people who have shiny straight hair and people with curls that look nice.

    • @l.k.6458
      @l.k.6458 6 років тому +4

      well a lot of people with curly hair want straight. and people with straight want curls.

    • @courtneydolly6538
      @courtneydolly6538 5 років тому +1

      @@l.k.6458 I can relate! I had curls in my hair and kept straightening it, so then I got it permanently straightened (until it grows out). Now, all I want is to be able to curl it and I can't wait for curls again! We always want what we can't have. I used to envy straight hair, now I envy curly hair so I'm never going to change it again because in the end they are equally beautiful.

    • @itsmario7767

    Thank you for making this. My hair is a lot like your natural hair (maybe slightly curlier and dryer). The result I'm hoping for is exactly what you have! I live in Ohio and it's quite humid in the summer so my hair turns into a bird's nest. I love my curls but hate the poofiness. My stylist also suggested 8 times with the straightener to keep in some of the texture.

    0:54 Omg story of my life. I want to keep my natural curls bc they are really pretty, but only if I braid my hair. My mom told me Brazilian blowout would straighten my hair and and make it really damaged and frizzy when it wore off. Now I can prove her wrong (I hope.) I’m starting my last year of middle school, and I don’t want to wear braids for half the year. 😅

  • @taylors5981
    @taylors5981 8 років тому +2

    I've been getting the brazilian blowout treatment done for a few years now. My hair has been so nice and better from how it was years ago when my hair would just puff up like a huge afro whenever i went outside. It's now manageable, shiny and healthy. The only thing is when i'm getting it done the fumes from the chemical in it can make my throat dry and my eyes burn and since i have thick, long hair it takes 3 and a half hours. But yeah it's really smooth and silky and easier to brush out!

    • @taylors5981
      @taylors5981 8 років тому

      And I can also definitely tell for sure when I have to get another treatment done after the 3 months is up or whenever because i straighten my hair every day (except on Saturdays I know they say not to use heat on hair too often but my hair can handle the heat. I've been straightening it everyday for years now and it's perfectly healthy).. Anyway when it's time to get it again it begins to get tough tangles in it and it doesn't look as straight and there is a lot of puff/frizz.

      @dianaclues8597 7 років тому

      T S I have a question since you have years experience the Brazilian blowout. My hair is same texture as her is when she gets out of the shower but a little more frizzy and little puffy. Do you think my hair is gonna come out as that when I get out of the shower or a bit straight? It'll mean a lot if anyone respond!💗

    I have medium long thick wavy hair with gnarled grey curls. I got a blow out two years in a row and it turns out straight after I wash it. But I think you need to wait more than 2 days to wash it so that it turns out straight. The treatment needs to stay in the hair for a few days to settle before the first hair washing.The blow outs I’ve gotten last a little over 4 months.

    Tried this too and had it done on the 1st week of April. I'm almost on my 4th month now and so far, my hair's condition is still ok; not perfectly straight in comparison to the 1st month but I'm good with it. My hair's naturally wavy so you can't really tell that it's getting back to it's natural state. Also, I wash my hair every other day so that probably helped even more to have the chemical last longer in my hair :)

      Erika, americans like to put country’s names to every product they have to make it more glamourous. Anyone truly Italian, french,Brazilian, Argentinian, Spanish, German know that anything labeled by a nationality is really made up american product. Italian food in the USA is really american, same with french, Argentinian etc etc. Pretty irritating that they have to use nations names to sell but I️ guess it works haha.

    I have the same type of hair too. It got more curly as I grew up so at first it was very hard to deal with but then I understood that it just needs to be cut in a right way and I also use hair products which make my hair more curly so it doesn't get puffy. Mostly my hair gets dry so before washing my hair I massage oils in my skin and after drying I put Indian hemp or some oils on the ends so I get beautiful curls.
    make sure it dries naturally without blow dryer.

      The range in my area was around 150-400. I just kept looking for a place that had the best deal with a reputable hair stylist. When my hair grew out it was 'natural' looking as in there wasn't a harsh difference with my natural hair and the part that had the treatment. This was because the treatment faded as a whole after every hair wash. Hope that helps :)

    Will your hair revert back completely ? also you should try curly hair products when you want to leave it in its natural state, it will leave it moisturized and defined. Curly hair products are also super gentle with natural ingredients so your brazilian blowout will really last because theres no harsh chemicals

      I would assume so. I'm not at the three month mark but my curls are kicking in and it has only been 1 month. My hair stylist said this is based on hair washes, so if you wash your hair every day the Brazilian Blowout will fade out quicker vs spreading your hair washes. The Brazilian Blowout is not a permanent thing.

      misssimple82 I'm looking to get it but only on a yearly basis, i have very curly hair but i do love them I'm just so annoyed by my frizz and kinda want a looser curl at the moment. and i wash my hair every 4-5 days so i know it will last me a long time. thanks!

      +Liz Pena Yeah same thing here! I have very curly curly, and I love it, but having a change for a few month would be great! Anyways I'd be very sad if I lost my natural hair pattern forever due to the blowout :0

    Hi pls reply. My hair is naturally curly (kinky) but when I was on highschool I have my hair rebonded. But when I was on college, I decided to perm my hair and it turned out well and suited me more than straight hair but now, the curls are dissapearing now due to my very damaged hair. I wanna have my hair brazilian blowout so that it tames my hair and remove the frizz, can I perm my hair again after the treatment? Or am I gonna wait for a month or more to get it perm again? Thank youuuuuu

      RGG Sorry, I’m not a hair expert. Best person to ask is the hair stylist who will do your hair. She/he will examine your hair and see your fit :)

    after 3-4 months, will it go back to normal curly and frizzy again?

    • @JessicaLights
      @JessicaLights  3 роки тому

      Yes, this is a temporary thing. Once all the product is out of your hair, by 3-4 months your hair will be back to normal 😄

    How much does a Brazilian blowout usually cost ?

    • @JessicaLights
      @JessicaLights  4 роки тому

      Depends on your area but usually around $200-$800. The longer hair you have the more it will be. If you see any Groupon deals just be aware and make sure you do your research! :)

    I'm thinking to do a brazilian blow out.... I have thinning hair, reseding hair line now and balding spot, itcy scalp sometimes, and overall dry hair and split ends smh! omg.. I use Nioxin (June to now) and Purodor shampoo/conditioner for hair thinning.... I use a 'want" everyday after wash and blow dry and it looks nice/wavy and thicker but the reality is, that it isn't.... is a BBO good for me?? (I don't want it to be flat and thin) I don't wanna lose what I have which isn't much to begin with.....anyone got suggestions? ideas?

    • @ari-ze1gx

      Kathleen Pablico it depends on your length, texture, and thickness. my hair is very long, thick and curly, so for me it will only last 3 months.
