My gf and I just recently started watching this series. This is one of the most epic scenes I think I've ever seen. What a buildup, Stefan is down, Damon fighting with Brady and winning until Jules comes over and shoots him, poor, pathetic Caroline comes out after Tyler frees her and Jules puts a gun to her head... all is lost!?! Then out of nowhere - wham - music stops, sound goes to a numbing roar while all the werewolves become incapacitated. Then... that awesome music comes in. That's what makes the scene. That great music we only hear about 3 times during season 2. Incredible music!! Out of the woods comes... who is it?? Who is it?? I mean we should have guessed but at the time I had no idea and then the warlock comes out of the shadows with his hands casting the spell. My head nearly blew up when I realized it was him. I remember covering my mouth as tears swelled in my eyes. "Holy shit!!! It's the warlock!!!!!!" And the warlock's short lines afterward were perfectly executed. I was really sad to see him go later on. This scene was simply incredible to me. Best scene by far on the show to date in my opinion.
After watching Stefan and Damon fighting the wolf pack I noticed they had the upper hand at the beginning then they were overwhelmed if it wasnt for that witch they would have lost I couldn't help but think of a line from a wise alpha named Peter hale You know why wolves hunt in packs to take down prey much larger then themselves

werewolves in human form had enchanced speed,senses speed and super jumping but its not comparable to a vampire but on a full moon their powers max up and they can litterly kill and bite any vampire any age (other then originals) and the bites are very deadly I guess in their human form they are stronger then a human but the full moon makes them hella powerful
