I'm keen to keep abreast of the digital transformation sweeping the profession and, having always been pretty digitally savvy, I've recently been undertaking something of a personal digital skills audit (as you suggest). What I'm finding from a data analytics and automation point of view is that AI (Chat GPT, Copilot etc) hugely speed up any automation project I embark upon. Previously, to figure out how to implement a new step in a process might involve a whole load of research and trial and error - AI tools have reduced this time greatly. I can't see AI wholly replacing data analysts and coders, but there's a huge augmentative role for AI. I'm not a Python, SQL, DAX or Power BI expert, but I can confidently work with them with the AI assistance now at my fingertips.
