Thank you for doing this. What is the width of this material across? I'm debating on cutting what I bought a little since when buying at the fabric store it is a large standard width.
Hey! The width is half the width of the purchased cotton gauze fabric. Make a little cut at the short end and RIP IT! If you are planning to wash your sash at any time, do it before final length measurment is cut, because the cotton gauze shrinks quite a bit. Have fun!

how many yards did you end up using? the only number I've been able to find on Google is 13 which sounds like waaaay too much.
I use 5 1/2 yards for someone under 5'5" and up to 6 1/2 yards for a 6' tall person.
I'm 5'9" and I used 5 yards, which was close enough to perfect, but I probably could've used 5 1/2. thank you for the video and the response!!

This is Island Breeze Cotton Gauze from Fabric.com. Be sure to buy the 6 yards so you don't have a seam. No seams!
