As a former professional burglar who was eventually caught and spent a few years in prison, I used a porter cable 20v sawzall and porter cable 20v cordless angle grinder and I would just cut deadbolts in about a minute or trailer locks (even the best ones) would be cut in about 30 seconds with the grinder...honestly I would just wear a vest and look like a tradesman of some kind and I'd do things so blatantly that nobody would think I was doing anything wrong, occasionally I'd take out a tape measure and act like I was sizing something up. (If there was a chance any neighbors could see...) alot of times I would start with cutting random meaningless stuff just to make it seem like I'm working all over I'd do that for about 10 minutes (no crime committed yet) and then once my presence was "normalized" and the neighborhood figured the sound was just me working...I'd take a few seconds to bust the lock/door...or to load up the trailer. (Alot of times I could just park my truck to block the view of me cutting it though, and then I'd hook up and leave, i would go atleast a mile or 2 away maximum because I didn't want to risk getting pulled over with my fake plates on (did this to avoid street cameras seeing my real plate and then I'd unload the trailer in a random spot in front of a home and let it sit for a few days to weeks depending on where I had to take it afterwards, if the police havent found it by then, then you're pretty much free and clear....I'd like to be clear though I NEVER did this to anyone who didnt deserve it, my targets were always morally corrupt people, one guy I knew beat his wifes german shepherd to the point that it had to go to the vet, they immediately broke up when she found out and she couldnt afford the expensive surgery so they had to put it down (still was a quite young pup) So I figured jacking his new $30,000 toy hauler/camper was not such a big deal...on the other hand id never be able to bring myself to even steal a penny from anyone innocent, I'm usually the guy who would return your wallet with all the money in it if I found it and didnt know you. All my criminal acts were 110% justified and verified targets actually did some serious evil, but i never even bothered saying that in court, justified or not it is a felony, and besides we all know how corrupt our justice system is here, always giving drug addict moms custody even when the dad has his shit together...our justice system just perverts real justice....which is why I took matters into my own hands, I could never just let it be. And when I worked as a sheriffs deputy I never felt that we did much other than write people $600 tickets on their way to work....(something that didnt feel like justice at all, but rather it was just more taxation to rob the people) so...I quit my job as a deputy and within weeks I was already out targeting everyone who I knew that escaped real justice. Child rapist and such, I gathered alot of their personal information before I left my job (one of the reasons I never even bothered saying it was justified, since they would then ask me how I knew all that and how I targeted them and well...that is a whole shot ton of more charges anyways...And no jury will ever go easy on a former cop turned criminal...they'd slap me with all of it)

That's BS. Hold the cable steady with a set of vise grips and a brand new blade for metal, and you'll cut that damn thing in about 20 seconds.

Like Will said, bolt cutters. But realistically that sawzall would have made quick work of it with the right blade and if you hadn't been limp wristing it.

A grinder with a metal cutting wheel will make short work of that lock.
