I have a 125-page downloadable PDF version of my 2025 writing planner! You can get it here: www.mistymalkasian.com/product-page/2025-planner-for-writers-pdf-download There is also an undated version: www.mistymalkasian.com/product-page/undated-planner-for-writers-pdf-download Happy planning :)
Thank you for this video! This is sooo helpful for inspiring authors like me. I cannot wait to create my own planner. I vote for using your name, better branding for your author brand in my opinion!
Really enjoyed the video and the planner you have there. I would say 100% use your writer's name with "- Writer" added there if it helps. You mentioned people buying your books but I think you'll get two types of people here: people like me who enjoy watching your process but aren't interested in the book itself (sorry) and people who are readers and want to know more. I think that's why Sara Cannon has two channels. Ah, and I found it touching that you explained you have asthma and were not sighing! I have difficulty breathing and I always worry about those things too.
Thank you so much for your input! And no, I get it, I'm the same way-- for some authors I really enjoy watching them write, but I'm not in their target reader audience and that's totally fine. As far as two channels goes, that's impossible for me haha, I struggle keeping up with one, but if I could I would definitely do something like that. My mom used to think I was sighing at her all the time lol but nope, just asthma.
Thank you so much! The heartbreathings planner was great but I also needed something more structured that went along exactly with Save the Cat, which is the plotting method I'm most familiar with. I might make something similar for writers who struggle with not knowing how "much" to plot out before they start writing. Have I put too much info in this beat, too little info in that beat, stuff like that :)
@@dreamplanwrite I'll keep an eye out for it. I too have been following Sarra for years. She gave me the confidence to just write. Still finding my rhythm in the creation process, though I have finished a first draft cozy. Thanks again! :)
I ordered a classic HP to create a writing planner like yours. I’m starting to rethink about ordering a Big instead. It’s not a pain to print and resize for your classic?
Use your name and make your current channel name your tagline. You can also just add your name in front of your current channel name and either put a hyphen or put the current name in parentheses.
Yay, a new video! I vote that you should use your name. It makes it a lot easier to find you if people are doing a simple search and you also have a great name for an author. I think attaching it to your channel will ultimately get you more clicks.
@@authorlacyhess thank you so much for your input. Definitely leaning towards using my name since so many people seem keen on it! ❤️ And it's a good point you make about visibility and clicks if people are doing a search for my name to find my books, it might help if my channel showed up too.

Yes! Use your name. Always recco unless the business name is not in your name.
@@MistiPatrella thanks so much for your advice ❤️
New subscriber, I actually like the name you have for your channel. It’s what caught my eye and made me want to watch.
Thank you so much, that's very helpful for me to know! I wonder if I should do something like, 'dreamplanwrite with Misty Malkasian', you know?
Use your name! I can’t wait for new books. Have loved everything so far.
Thank you so much for your support on my books, omg, it means the world. I really appreciate it.
Also, it's SOOOO nice to see you back! Missed watching your content! Will be following along your NanoWriMo journey!
@@justlaura7177 it's so good to be back too! Means a lot that you missed seeing my videos, that's so sweet. I do plan to make vlogs this year! 😁❤️
@@dreamplanwrite yay!!! Looking forward to it! Excited you’re doing Sherlock like you’ve always wanted!

Love the paper you are using for the cover! Did that come from a set?
Isn't it adorable?! Yes, it came from a set called Dark Academia from the Recollections brand. I got it at Michaels. :)

Use your name. Also is there any chance you can film a flip through of the whole planner you made and uploaded to Amazon?
@@catherinelove2820 thanks so much for your input! ❤️ Also yes, that's a fantastic idea and I will definitely do that, stay tuned! 😉
