    As someone who has done the first two scenes of the course (the sushi and forest scenes), I cannot recommend it highly enough: I’m working simultaneously on a handful of courses aimed at my level but this is the one which teaching method works the best for me, namely you learn by doing, which I find really helps me remember information better and immediately identify possible pain points and work around them - watching some of the tutorials here might definitely help figure out whether his teaching style is for you btw as it carries over to the course as well

      Thank you for such a thougtful review! I've picked up blender but its been such a slog to find something that's intuitive for beginners. I've found the sushi one is helping as well

    I'm definitely going to be looking into this since I'm currently in college, and while my Associates degree is in the Video Prod area, I'm hoping to be taking some 3D classes at my university I plan on transferring next fall (2025)
    P.S. Thanks for your videos!

    I was just about to ask about this! Thanks for all the info! 2D pixel artist here looking for good blender tutorials to start mixing some good lighting in my process or maybe even migrate completely. Followed a lot of random tutorials but I want to learn how to use blender for 3D modeling as well (not just pixel art), since I love the cozy stylized aesthetic on a lot of scenes on this channel.

    Your courses are great, your tutorials, I put them on speed 0.50 to be able to follow them, but they are really good, very diversified, and the results are up to par. Bravo and thank you for everything. I hope you will continue for a long time with your very numerous and regular videos.
    If I gave advice to beginners, first follow the courses and then tackle the tutorials, it will be much easier and more profitable

      They are hosted online so yes, you need to be connected

    Did you re-record all the courses with Blender 4.x?

    • @polygonrunway
      @polygonrunway  2 дні тому +4

      No, just key episodes and lessons. Other lessons have updates in form of subtitles that explain some changes. It would just not be possible or viable to re-record everything. Blender hasn't changed that much, it's mostly very light changes :)

    Hi, I'm been a 3D hobbyist in my spare time using a version of a 3D application I paid for many years which is now soon to be extinct. I have enjoyed following your Utube videos/exercises and with some, recreating them with my current 3D application to the best of my ability :). I know I have much to learn but I believe over the many years I do understand the very basic principals of polygon modelling. Of course I'm aware blender's UI & UX is going to be totally different, some would say very unfriendly and too complicated compared to other paid 3D products out there. I was wondering what your take on this and would you still recommend to start with your beginner courses or could I get away with jumping into a intermediate course say the 'Arcane House'.

    • @polygonrunway
      @polygonrunway  День тому

      Hey :) First of all, let me debunk the myth of Blender UI being complicated in comparison with other 3D software. This is simply not true since 5 years ago, when they completely re-worked the UI and it's better every year since. I would argue, it's one of the most comfortable 3D UI's out there.
      Taken you don't have experience with Blender yet, I would recommend to get Become a 3D Illustrator course (the beginner one). With your 3D skills, you would probably be able to run through it much faster, my guess it would be doable in under two weeks. Maybe less. And then get the Arcane House. I strongly believe, that after this, you would feel proficient with Blender and you would unlock completely new creativity ;)

    hi, is it worth learning 3D (Blender) in 2024 if AI is already being implemented everywhere? What is the situation on the 3D freelance market?

    • @polygonrunway
      @polygonrunway  6 годин тому +1

      Ha! I just wrote a newsletter about this 2 days ago, you can read it here if you're not subscribed mailchi.mp/polygonrunway/the-wait-is-overbecome-a-3d-illustrator-17218301
      TLDR: Yes, it's still worth to learn 3D

      @@polygonrunway Thanks for the answer, but I also recently completed a course in 2D game graphics (for mobile phones). So now in vacancies and already working 2D artists are required to have skills in using AI, plus I have a couple of artist acquaintances who confirm this with their work. That’s what they say: I would render here a day, but it was generated for me in a few seconds, and I’ll just finish it to a normal look. This is the problem, plus there are already so many banners on the Internet with generated pictures and the customer accepts them and posts them, that you think, perhaps your time is up. because It’s no longer possible to Catch up
      😒

    Something I noticed is that your store has less content than UA-cam. I recommend starting a course with monthly content but more in tutorials and something not in the UA-cam videos. Just my suggestion 😅

    • @polygonrunway
      @polygonrunway  2 дні тому +4

      It's not less content, it's completely different content. You just can't compare what's in my courses and what I put on UA-cam. It's like comparing trailer and movie :)

    can you explain how we gonna get 14+ money back after we purchase the course?

    • @polygonrunway
      @polygonrunway  День тому

      I think you're referring to 14 day money back guarantee. That just means that if you dont like the course you can ask for a refund before 14 day passes
