Hiking the Collegiate Peaks | Mt Columbia

Mt Columbia is a 14,075ft mountain in the Collegiate Peak Wilderness in the Sawatch Range. This past weekend I joined up with some friends to repeat hike this 14er I did several years ago. The last time was in May of 2017 or so and I had done the winter ridge route, but this time I did the (newer constructed) standard route which had a gazillion switchbacks up the west slopes. We started around 5:30am and the lot was already practically full. Total so far I've hiked 42/58 14ers, but the ones I still need are farther off so until then I'm doing 13ers and repeat 14ers. So since I didn't make videos the first time I hiked this, enjoy this one!
If you plan on hiking a 14er make sure you're prepared, pack lots of water, extra layers, start early to beat thunderstorms, and stay on trail!
