"YES!" I could never articulate how I felt about how black and brown leather jackets just didn't "fit" me. Your explanation was perfect! An olive green, faux leather, open-front lapel blazer was perfect for me and didn't make me feel like a caricature of myself! Thank you for explaining it so well!
Thank you! It's so interesting how we 'know' when something's not quite right even if we're not sure what would be better. Your jacket sounds amazing! I'm thrilled that you found it.
I have brown eyes, fair skin, and my hair was red when I was younger so I wore a lot of "autumn" colors then with brown as a base neutral. My hair darkened with age and now black and gray seem to suit me better, but last winter I realized I had so much gray and black in my closet that it was downright depressing in the middle of January and February! I thought I was being practical with how everything went together, but even with cream and red turtlenecks underneath all my dark-color clothing it just made getting dressed a sad experience and I realized I needed to add a lot more color!
Mine are denim/navy, camel, grey and ivory. I have black pants that I tend to go to because they're easy but they don't create my best outfits. And I'm with you on the black leather jacket. I found a faux leather one in stone beige that I've worn a lot. It feels much more like me!

This was super helpful ! I actually live neutrals and feel the most comfortable in them ! My neutrals are beiges, tans , browns and olive !!
I have silver hair and a cool skin tone so my neutrals are white, grey, navy, black and denim only 👍🏼
Perfect! I love that!!
Mine are denim, navy, cream and grey. Wish I could fine more grey. Weirdly enough it’s hard to find here in Holland.

Great work determining what needed to change!

🙌 It's so awesome when we find the version/color of a classic that feels authentic to us!
75% of my wardrobe is black or colorful prints. I rarely mix and match. That's a problem. Also, 20% is tie dye (I am an old hippie.)
Navy isn’t a neutral, but is a great “basic” color.
True, although it's definitely considered a neutral in my wardrobe. 😉
