what a great guy. he is 90 here. god bless this man. i am half is age and 4 times more miserable but watching him cheers me up to good years gone past.
I just wish that Dick van Dyke lives for the next 100 years. My little brothers said that it's impossible for a person to live that long and one of my friends said, "Dick van Dyke is not a person. He's a god." 👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣
Compared to other US talk show hosts I always thought Ferguson was a hoot, but this is just a waste of the extraordinary talent of Dick van Dyke. CF has got purest entertainment gold sitting across the table from him. A brilliant, luminescent, evergreen, intelligent, warm, funny, fantastic STAR! A piece of twentieth century entertainment history. Yet Craig tries to engage in simple (ie inane) banter. As much as Dick TRIED to guide the conversation into an area where he could relate interesting anecdotes, he was rarely allowed to. When will some of the buffoons that host these talk shows realize these mega stars are stars because they are wonderful, talented and interesting, Just give them a prompt here and there and the time to tell THEiR story(ies) AND TRUE ENTERTAINMENT WILL ENSUE!! It's not rocket science.
I couldn't agree more! My husband and I were just talking about this the other day. Late night TV is nothing like it used to be. I miss the days of Conan, Ferguson, Leno, and Letterman. That was when late night TV was actually entertaining and FUN to watch. We used to actually look forward to it every night. I cannot stand that ass hat Colbert and his nonstop political rants. That is literally ALL he talks about EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and it's exhausting. I can't even stand the sound of his voice anymore. He has made it ALL about HIS political views and nothing else. He even drags his guests into the political banter. Jimmy Fallon is okay and is at least pleasant, but he can be really obnoxious and overly hyper at times. I don't know if late night TV will ever be what it once was, but I sure do miss it.
In my opinion, Ferguson was disrespectful to Dick Van Dyke...he treated him with the same irreverence as any one of the 22 year old flash in the pan actors he would have on as guests. But that's what has led to the decline of the late night talk shows. After Johnny Carson (and with the possible exception of Jay Leno), the hosts have made the shows about how funny they could be, instead of accentuating and concentrating the attention on their guests.
I have yet to see this guy Craig Ferguson have an intelligent interview! You are in presence of a legend like Van Dyke and asking half backed questions and cheesy humour !? Really !??
His smile is just so warming and welcoming. He could charm a rabid wolf with that smile
He truly is a legend!
@Diane Newman ya..could be or because he has had a stroke.
I'm in my late 20s and he's the only older guy that... I would. Maybe not now, but at that point, yes. And he was in his 80s there.
What a Legend ,hope he reaches 100.
I hope that he lives over 100.
@@hannahduggan3599 Only seven years to go ^^ and then of course at least another 10 years!
The best thing is that this comment could apply to either person in the video.
Well, he's almost 96 now and still going strong and works out every day. I think he'll reach 100 and beyond.
Me too, even higher than that
This man is like the grandfather everybody wants.
Dick Van Dyke STILL looks and sounds amazing!!!! Now that's the way to age with grace and class! - Love this guy!
There will never be a late night / tonight show like Craig Ferguson
Love Dick's knowing laugh after the Whiskey joke. Two recovered alcoholics who can have a good laugh after all they've been through.
Gorgeous, adorable, SO lovable! You gotta love this guy!

i love how humble he is...and how much he laughs.
This man is a freakin American treasure!
I'm a simple man I see Dick Van Dyke AND Craig Ferguson I click...
He turned 90 yesterday, and he's still going strong.

What a funny, classy man. I grew up watching his movies and TV shows.
Got a big stupid grin on my face, love that man.
This deserves more views. 2 AMAZING blokes, DIck is phenomenal
The world would be a much better place if Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins were required viewing for every kid!

He'll forever be one of my favourites!
Miss your show Craig.
Not fair. Had to get the two most charming men in history together. No chance for the rest of us.
I love him!!! he must have the best stories.
I swear to God! You just see the man and you can NOT wipe the grin off your face. Try it.
You're absolutely right!
It's like trying to listen to Bobby Darin without snapping your fingers.
I tried it. Never happen. :-)
I can't listen to Ellen Degennras without barfing.,
The interview I never knew I needed to see.
He has aged so well! He still looks amazing! I hope he lives to be 150!
His laugh is freaking infectious.
Love Dick Van Dyke's laugh...infectious.
also loved Craig's Dutch [ 8:14 ]
I ❤ Dick Van Dyke it still alive this loved is that.
I ❤️ his smile and his head full of white hair. He's a delightfully charming and funny man. ☺️😁
He is a sight for sore eyes a good one still alive yes!
What an appearance for a man of Dick's age, young at ♥️ forever
Love his sense of fun 💕
I love these two!!!
They actually have really good chemistry together.....
For real, it's as if they've been friends forever.
Dick VanDyke - a class act!
Gotta love how Craig does an impression of a fish talking about Dick Van Dyke's accent in Mary Poppins
It’s hard to believe he’s shy. But, he’s said so himself.
What a classy man!!
Three people whose age hasn't affected them one bit: Mel Brooks, Betty White and Dick Van Dyke
Don Rickles was still pretty sharp when he passed away at 90 years old in 2017.
@@joshuabrooks4907 on my birthday 😭

Two legends, from two different eras!
I also love Dick's Playboy story about them using his name in a funny context.
Nah...only one will be remembered!!
@@vincentconti3633 I love Craig Ferguson.
That British accent was legendary. He will forever be known for that. hahaha
8:58 is the story you came for.
Craig Ferguson is fuckin amazing.. Dick VanDyke is the god damn man.. This video was the best
So nice to see him have so much fun

+scratcher s Cf ruined the surfing story thats for "shore"
So True - Ferguson showed little respect to Dick Van Dyke and made the interview all about his silly antics.
DVD the man is the original.
Dick
Van
Dyke
See it? 10-7-2021
That long board story
Do you think they pushed his surfboard back to shore by accident, or was it on porpoise?
AHHAHAHA NICE
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣...........always love corny humor! Good one!
😂😂
Oh, Robbbbbb!!!!
Cool surfing story.
if his British accent was so atrocious, then why did Julie Andrews never intervene?
That's what I want to know! She was trained by experts to learn the cockney accent for "My Fair Lady!"
Apparently in an interview he asked Julie why no one questioned his accent, and she said “it’s because you worked so hard!” - true legend
Dick was actually born in Missouri, a few miles away from the great Porter Wagoner.
@@joshuabrooks4907 I lived in Nashville and my backyard but it up against Porter Wagner's backyard. And Dick grew up in Danville Illinois
The best... As Gilbert Gottfried would say, what a treat. Or maybe that's Frank.
I miss Craig and Conan at night on regular TV compared to these jerks full of hate now.

Why does he look the same age in 1974 as in 2015 lol
Someone left him in a time warp.
Right?! He has always been so handsome and has aged like fine wine!
TEN INCH BOARD XD
Comic Genius
What if Dick VanDyke and Betty White got together?!!
hey...he got rid of that moustache he had in diagnosis murder...good...looks more like himself
Why does Craig Ferguson need to shout?, Reminds me of that hammy actor Pacino..
Could be you!
On October 5th he is turning 95 years old!
