About Fallout: Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind - and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them. From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more.

It will be better and here's why: actors are comfortable with the material and characters. The hard work with practical sets and props is already done, allowing fine tuning of things they probably passed up in S1 for time sake. The budget will probably get pumped due to the success of S1.

@bajscast he told me about it and how it was built/rigged (several people did the physical action of moving it and such) obviously it was wet in there from the throw-up gag they did, but probably alot of rubber resin and synthetic stuff that had been painted and detailed for weeks to give it that organic living creature look to it. He just kept saying how shooting that scene and being on that job was unlike any other...he spoke fondly of the craftsmanship of the physical Gulper rig and prop/mechanism. At the time of him telling me the show wasn't out yet, he told me everything he was allowed haha, he was really cool about it. I've been trying to connect with someone on the design team to get on the show as a set dresser but obviously that's a tough thing...still trying, it'd be a dream to work on that show. People have their criticisms and all, some I can see, but again, I love it. I think it's lightning in a bottle.

I saw an earlier interview with the showrunners and they said most things based on existing property involves lists of things that have to be signed off because the owners of the property want it even if it doesn't necessarily work for the show. They said Todd Howard just told them to do what they wanted and ask him if they needed anything. They said the freedom it gave them made them really want the show to be as good as possible. It just shows that hiring the right people and giving them carte blanche can really work out well. Of course if those people created Westworld you can kind of expect them to hit it out of the park.

Something I don’t see talked about in the scene at 2:41 is how in Fallout games sometimes there’s just traveling NPC’s with one or two lines and don’t have an actual dialogue box and they pretty much just ignore you. Or how when Cooper gets shot he uses food to heal mid fight. All those little details add up and it just made me so happy.

The door texure was 16 times the detail. Guess Todd never could get that till now.

Criticize Todd as much as you like, but he is an fallout fan and seeing him wandering around the set saying
"they even have this letter from vault tec and I can flip through it and it says to to raise the amp- It's insanity (like whatafuck)" just like any of us would do
Really shows that they really got it right from the ground up making this series
I hope they don't derail everything on season 2 lol

I believe that we can appreciate both Todd's strenghts and his weaknesses. His strenght, as shown here, is that he's passionate and really loves the property, but his weaknesses mean that he often doesn't understand the practical side of creation and overpromises on things. That makes him a great idea guy and promoter, but a bad project manager who's unreliable when it comes to sticking to the facts of what something is instead of what it *could be*.

Nuance is not particularly popular on the internet. People like to 100% hate something and 100% love something instead, with nothing inbetween, because it's easier and doesn't require much thinking.

Had to laugh at the irony that the city set is surrounded by a shipping container wall (to secure/hide the set, etc.). My Starlite Drive-in settlement is also surrounded by a shipping container wall 😂

The music for the Brotherhood in particular fit so well and absolutely slaps, I hope to god that the next Fallout game keeps the sort of noble, knightly Mechanicus from 40K vibe

This was the best rendition of Fallout any of us OG Fallout gamers could ask for. I can't wait for season 2 and to dive into New Vegas. I wonder who they will have play as Mr. House and Caesar. Or if they will even have Caesars Legion. I SURE HOPE SO!
