Wearing cologne does not mean bad hygiene or just that they smell, I good cologne can go a long way. They can be real insights to the kind of person you are and give a good and bad impression so be wise, don't choose a overly sweet and artificial smelling cologne, that's almost lynx at that point. For a date you want a more darker aromatic cologne that really wants the person to just get closer to you and get a good smell, an awesome choice, that is fairly unisex aswell, is Jaz Club by Maison Margiela. For during the day a lighter fresher, clean smelling cologne which is not over imposing but still creates a pleasent bubble around you. A personal choice of mine is Prada L'Homme; performing for a about 6-7 hours it's great as you would only really need to top up once and your are all set for the entire day, simply have a little in a travel spray bottle or pack it with you to work or what ever you day is. But I repeat cologne is not a sigh of poor clenlines. To me it can really help you stand out from the crowd especially with certain fragrances. But never wear setting for someone else only wear what you want.

Great video, and some great advice. Got to disagree on the fragrance though. A nice well thought out scent (for the occasion) adds the finishing touches. I agree with not overspraying though. Get yourself a signature scent that you love and away you go
I have literally gone on hundreds of dates over the years and the most compliments I have received by far have been when I was freshly showered (using a nice soap) and deodorant. I wear fragrance for myself, but you would be surprised how many women actually don't care about fragrance on guys.
Heyu Ashley, thanks for all the great content! Would you mind doing an episode on Interview outfits? or business casual kind of style. Thanks in advance!
Great tips as always. Honestly after watching your videos my personal style improved a lot. I noticed how I made a lot of styling mistakes before which ruined the opportunities. Glad I found great channel like this. Thanks a lot
I would add that choosing a cologne is like choosing another piece of clothing. Paco rabanne is probably a bad choice for the situation, a more subtle scent is appropriate. No cologne is honestly bad advice, but like everything worth doing is worth doing right. I can understand where you are coming from since the average man knows little to nothing about cologne
@@zeus-ow8li I agree that the majority of women won't notice if you don't wear cologne, but because about 75% of men don't wear cologne. Further supporting my point that wearing cologne will advantageously separate you from the average man. Science backs this up as well. You leverage your image plain and simple. I understand cologne wouldn't be considered "fashion" anyways and I respect her opinion. Its still objectively bad advice.
Ashley Weston is the best I groom and have many suits and clothes for the right occasion. Especially when I go to a restaurant suit and tie like Justin Timberlake said.
I’m going to the cinema tonight with the love of my life of nearly 3 years. As it’s hot at the moment in the UK. I’m thinking of a white short sleeved shirt and green uncuffed shorts with white trainers although I do have brown boat shoes . So I have an option in the foot wear department. What are your thoughts on if my outfit will be ok
I'm hurt lol, fragrance is meant to be the final cherry on top, after a shower, a light fresh non offensive fragrance is muawh, perfect imo. Those who skip the shower and try to cover smells with fragrance smh
Yeah, I agree. I get the feeling she doesn't like fragrances because she lives in LA which has only one climate so she's tired of smelling the same things on people or maybe people in LA don't bathe. I don't know, I've never been that deep in the Sunshine state😳
Women definitely check your shoes out! I made the mistake of wearing my leather flip flops on a lunch date in Hawaii. She looked down and honestly my feet are not bad for a dude, but I could tell she did not like my shorts and flip flop look.
A good cologne is definitely not a sign of bad hygiene, that only really applies to guys who put on like 25 sprays. But a couple sprays of a clean, classy cologne adds the right amount of pop.
I'm totally torn between two influencers now! 😵💫. You say no sensible fragrance, and curlyfragrance will call me a sissy sprayer! 😭 Oh woe is me! 😉 Trick statement! Must get someone to match first!! 🤣
@women, I will have probably spent a ridiculously disproportionate amount of time polishing my shoes. I can scan a barcode reflected in them. As such, I shall also be checking out *your* shoes because I confess to having a thing about shoes. Please remember to have removed the price labels from the soles of your high heels as that totally trips me out! :)
I can hear what you are saying and agree even though I haven't been on a date before, but when it came to the accessories and you said dog tag and how it can come across not being mature, it got me thinking cause I have one that I got given by my family for my 21st last year, but what makes it special is that it has a Cross on the front and the Lord's prayer on the back. Which means so much cause I'm christian. Then I have a green stone necklace or Tonga as we call it in my culture which is very precious. So I think in these instances they should be fine to wear.
The real advice is the more successful you are, the less any of this matters. Leonardo DiCaprio can show up looking like a homeless man and leave with a Victoria Secret model.Facts
8:10 - Constantly checking phone. Actually, ladies are much more guilty of this than men. Constantly checking your phone while on a date is very disrespectful.
In Singapore, dress codes are far more relaxed. A casual walk in the park means tees and shorts, and at best with boat shoes or trainers. Wearing jeans or chinos is too "formal". You must remember that in Singapore, it is generally 32C to 36C year round with a humidity of 60 to 90 per cent. Try telling someone not to wear flip flops or shorts and they will flip the bird at you. Much of style advice on UA-cam presumes a Western context.
The more I watch any style tips for men channel, the more I think the ones at the centre of the channels are likely abhorrent regardless of the value or lack thereof in style advice

Most women don't care though. If you are freshly showered, wear deodorant and brush your teeth, 90% of women will be happy and won't think twice.

Boat Shoes are fine if you’re 70 years old. Otherwise avoid at all costs.

How long should u text/dm a person before asking them on a date? Seems to me like these girls don’t wanna get to know u beforehand…

Gave this video a like just cause you said you're not a fan of cologne haha. Subtlety is better.

Hey Ash! Do you recommend using a clarifying shampoo to remove hair product or is it too harsh to use on the regular?
I use a water based pomade so it just rinses out
Thank you

Could somebody recommand me a Good quality white leather sneaker under 100€ (no Stan smiths)
Man, I don't know how many times I see guys do a lot of these especially when the woman is dressed nice and the man is not.
So true
