This year. We'll keep it vague. It is actually in sight though. We plodded for so many years it's a little weird to see it all come together finally. Thanks Eagerv.
Yes it will be. There will be a curved solid top covered with canvass and Eisenglass for the walls. The top is the last large thing that has to be built, but it's fairly simple to do so. It will be supported by 4 metal posts. At least that's the plan at the moment. Thanks Harold!
OK---looking for some more videos--you're doing great and the boat looks good. What City, state are you folks in ? Is there a body of water nearby for the launch or must you travel?-----Mike Yadrick--Seattle
A Cat Named Dog I'm reading your blogs right now, thanks for the link just want to tell you in louisiana we pick up the deer,it's compensation for the damage to your car, even if most of it is splattered all over the road. Lunch break is over so I'm going back to work and finishing it later
It is difficult to say exactly. You have to decide what you mean by fully equipped. How you can find the good prices on equipment, etc. $115 can get you close.
@@acatnameddog9799 west probably. I,m just saying ,,, if you have the inclination, that boat will do it. You can day cruise it or just sit on it and drink beer.
Chuck, that's awesome looking boat! Did you arrange the sail's setup yet? What solar panels are you gonna install? BTW, I will try to launch mine in 5 weeks, but as motorboat for this season.
Damn, Sergey I hate it when someone beats me to the water. Oh well. there's still Adrian and Olivier, or did he launch............. I have some Harbor freight 75 watt solar panels we bought at the start of the project. I am going to use the Wharram wingsail that I bought from Budget Boater's sail sales. If you look at his website and see the photos of the sails, those are photos of the ones he sold me.
Actually no. There are currently no licensing requirements in the state of Texas for holding an electric toothbrush next to a camera on a tripod. It's just a matter of time until they do though.
It's a beautiful boat. Very very nicely built
Thankya!
She looks great, well done..
When do you hope to be ready to sail?

Is the pilot area going to be enclosed? How is the interior going? Thanks for the update and have fun with the drone!

Here's a picture from the first week of the blog. It's had a couple changes.
How will you ground your Tiki from lightning strikes?
I figure to attach a copper wire to a stake pounded 8 feet into the earth to act as a ground. I have a 4,000 mile spool ordered
Hahahaha I was just wondering, I saw one mono hull that had it's mast hit with lightning and it was un-grounded, the boat was destroyed.
I don't know. It is a wooden boat, though.
This one was mostly fiberglass, it sank is at the dock and lit it on fire.
I'll stay away from docks. They sound dangerous.
DAWG
Do you need a license to fly that, BS? 🤣
