Nippon's machikouba's engineering and manufacturing technology and craftsmanship is astonishingly impressive. It is one of my highest priorities to visit many remaining shops like this in my lifetime.
I'm Brazilian, but seeing the passion, dedication and commitment of the Japanese is amazing. And even more so, the artisanal art that we see in most things. I really like Japanese culture, Japanese instruments and what I love most about these people is the incredible art with wood that we call Kumiko. And the mix of technology and dedicated people results in quality products. Thank you to the author of the video and the Japanese people for the beautiful work Hugs from Rio de Janeiro

In Japan, there has been a culture that respects people who do handicrafts brilliantly in small factories as craftsmen and bosses. They work hard so that there is no even the slightest part. Even if it becomes such a difficult task that it is not worth the price, they are proud to train.
Yes i work in a Spring Factory in France and the process are similar. The difference is that for me, the entire process is automated, right down to painting and marking.
The production of springs is interesting. In our hot shop they would have forced us to work in helmets.
The Japanese people take a lot of pride in their work. Probably the only people left that do. I remember a time when American laborers took pride in their job, but not so much anymore. I did but was constantly laughed at and put down by fellow workers. I buy Japan-made products anytime over anything else if available.

That is boutique hand built, not mass production - and mighty expensive given the sluggish production rate.
