If they can keep up the quality, then we can expect an amazing 2nd (and 3rd) season because the source material with all the moments is there, just waiting to be adapted They mentioned some problems with cost of CGI this season (eg. there was supposed to be an octopus fishman that did not fit into the budget), so I hope the success can get them that, cuz obviously more crazy islands, creaturesand ships'll be coming up
It is so lovely to see people loving this masterpiece/ world that created by ODA, Welcome and get your heart prepared for a lot more emotional sailing coming season 2 ❤
people who keep wanting Kobe to join Luffy don't understand Kobe's dream is to be a Marine nothing more he will never be a Pirate but Like Garp he will have a friendship that he never revels to the marines not saying any more because I don't want to spoil any later seasons
Most people say luffy is arguably the most lovable main character in any fiction franchise for reasons yet to be told in the live action but you can already guess why by his whole persona he already portrays. So look forward to that 😉
No spoilers: the end scene with 2 cigars is a baddass Marine Commander of the G-5 Marine Base (you can read the subtitle before he appears "military march music plays") hes very determined and he follows his own strict code of justice, he will be hunting the straw hat crew relentlessly, thats all i can say for now
So glad you finished the LAOP. As a new nakama, you have experienced just a tiny glimpse of the journey ahead. The adventure will continue in the Grand Line where our Strawhat crew will really be tested and you will see it all for the first time. Garp and Mihawk are a hint of what awaits them in those waters. Us old time OP fans will be right there with you to experience it all again ourselves with all the new nakama that have come aboard this journey. See you on the Grand Line!!
Your enthusiasm is what makes the channel worthwhile. I have a suggestion for a couple, well 3 series on Netflix ... season 1 of Happy (a drunken detective finds a missing girl with the help of her imaginary friend), The Fall of the House of Usher (based on the works of Edgar Alan Poe ... supernatural) and Body ... a man's newly dead body is found 3 times about 80 years apart.

Loved your reactions. I especially loved how most of the time you seemed to be pointedly avoiding swearing , but during the more intense moments you let some out. I hope you continue on to the anime eventually. It is one of the most emotionally engaging stories i've ever experienced. No one pulls at your heart strings as quickly or easily as Oda.

yes, I have had a hard time finding others things to watch thanks to One Piece. It was just excellent! (I did find an anime on Netflix, Blue Eyed Samurai, that is very adult and dark. Also, I am looking forward to the FX mini series, Shogun, that's coming out in Feb. Other than that, I am struggling to find good shows. Or at least, shows that keep me interested)

But yes, first season was a great compilation and second season already confirmed. Another good news about it, theres a project on going of 6 years filming to provide maybe 12 seasons in the next twelve years. I heard rumors about they left just the CGI to be post produced (and the actors job would be ready inside this six ears - by the way, this project supposely got start three years ago).
No spoilers. We've actually met 2 Pirates and 1 Marine that would look at Arlong and say, "Are you serious?" Mihawk, as you said. But, also Shanks. Remember him staring at a sea beast (the term for those type of sea monsters is actually "Sea King") and making it leave? Plus, Shanks telling Mihawk at the end, "...I could still take you..." And then we have the Marine, Garp. Any man that can throw a cannon ball as fast as a cannon does is not someone to take lightly. 😂😂😂

the drama ,story and different kind of emotion makes one piece different from other anime that is why its the best. those emotional scene and powerful enemies like mihawk shanks and garp is just a taste on upcoming seasons.

I grew up with One piece and have been reading weekly for 15+ years. Started Wheel of time 2 years ago and am halfway through book 13. They both share my nr 1 spot. I wonder which one i will prefer, when One Piece is finished and i am done with WoT.
I don't have any advance knowledge of this, so it's pure speculation on my part: I like the idea that Koby didn't join Luffy's crew, because that allows him to change what it means to be a Marine, the same way that Luffy wants to change what it means to be a pirate.
It's only good as it is because original creator had creative control. He had them done reshots for things he did not like. Hope season 2 is as good as the first season.
It's hard to believe that One Piece is a bedtime story book being read by a grandpa to his grandson Fred Savage. I mean, it's got swordfighting and giants and inconceivable brain guys.
Just started this reaction, but have noticed this through the series, this is no judgement. I hear "stinking cute" and "gosh darn" but then I hear "Let's fucking go!" Again, no judgement. Was amazing to see the One Piece great manga and anime becoming for the fist time real good live action adaptation. Also Koby Cant become Pirate remember what Luffy said to him they are bad pirates and good pirates same for the Marines Bad Marines Good marines and Koby is a good Marine balance of power. One thing I'm noticing is people agreed to let Zoro fight Mihawk despite of the obvious power gap just because "it's his dream" and yet those very same people keep saying they want Coby to just change his mind about the Marines and join Luffy, being a Marine has been Coby's dream since he was a kid, you people are blatantly disregarding his dream
