This story is about the death of Mr. Hooper and how Big Bird learns to cope with it. It is a departure from what I usual post but an important topic.
At the time I uploaded this video over 1.5 million people worldwide had passed away from Covid-19. So many families are grieving, and children especially are having to grapple with loss without the usual distractions of school and social interactions. I hope this compilation of the story and additional resources will make a very difficult conversation a little easier.
