Awesome job as usual C-Fred but, I have never seen this glitch before and, I have been playing this game for years. How does it occur?

So there's a way to skip into the boss fight for Geary without getting the Trophies from world 4, however because of how the glitch is done, this screen blackening happens for 90% of the race. So it's possible to get a huge timesave in Any% speedruns if you can beat geary with this effect
