When I was first getting started with Amazon FBA and Shopify, I was completely clueless and had no idea on how to actually create a logo or if I had to go and hire someone...
After over 4 years of selling products successfully online and building eCommerce empires on Amazon and Shopify, I'm here to share with you the TWO BEST METHODS to get an amazing logo and custom box design for your product.
1) Paid Method - Using Upwork.com ($50-100)
This is a fantastic method that allows you to hire a professional logo/packaging designer who is verified and is sure to do good work for you.
I use this method for every one of my new logos and new brands that I'm creating because I am not a graphic designer myself and I would rather outsource the things I don't know and focus on what I know and am good at.
A little money invested into the right graphic design has the potential to completely skyrocket your brand when you launch your product.
2) Free Method - Using Canva.com (FREE)
Fantastic way to design your own logo and box - I still use this method especially for minimalistic logos and graphic design that doesn't require a lot of complexity.
Canva.com is a great tool, like a FREE photoshop! Try it out.

Do the suppliers supply the template for the packaging? No one’s talked about this in any of the videos i watched.

@@jmlaf1302 I'm asking my supplier to package my new product into sets of 25 units. This is a new request for them and so they have no standard packaging to suit sets of 25. How do I determine the size of box I need to accomodate 25 sets. Can i ask supplier to determine this for me then send me the box layout which I can then send to my designer to add logo ect? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

I think the causation effect is strewed up here. It's because Coffee Gator is clearly a category winner with thousands of reviews that it starts to make sense for them to have custom logo on steel and pretty package, not the other way around. That said, appreciate sharing the info some good stuff here.
As per Amazon fba guidelines, Can we use stickers on bubble wrap packaging instead of using it directly on the product for brand logo?

i have a question and hopefully I can get an answer fast. ive created a logo on canva and sent it to my supplier, but my supplier keeps asking for original file so they can create an outline. im not quite sure what she means though. please reply need help asap!

Seems pretty logical. You'd send it to the supplier who literally manufactures the product/packaging & have them manufacture it according to the template you just sent them as explained by Dan in this very video (of course, make sure they are willing by prior agreement).

No you don't create the box template, the supplier will always have that ready for you!

Hi Dan, great video as always! Could you tell me, If getting your product patented /trademarked and it takes 6-8 months does that mean you're stuck unable to sell it on amazon until then? Second ques, what resolution on canva do you think works well for product boxes if sending to supplier or printing agent in China...is there a best practice for this?

You say it trademark your brands. But, it takes six months to a year or more to complete the process. How do you get around that?

I think he creates a new logo for every new products because he wants each of his stores to only focus on one main product. It also depends on what kind of store you're trying to build.

Both options are fine.
It's easier if you design the package and send the artwork to manufacturer let them to get it done (they will have to find the package manufacturer themselves)
Or you will have to find the package manufacturer yourself and send the package to your product manufacturer for package.
The only problem is, normally, manufacturer doesn't have design team for package. Even they do, it might not meet your expectation.
If your manufacturer agreed to handle the package for you (after you send them the artwork), always remember to check the package quality before you placing the order.

So - I am planning to launch a private label product in a very competitive niche, I have around a £10,000 budget to work with.
I have added more value to the product and am trying to implement something the supplier says is a new design/feature,
I have sourced product pictures on fiverr PRO for £900, basically paying for the best of everything for an ultimate brand.
Do you think this is the right way to go? Investing more to master the niche?
There are some sellers with thousands of reviews, but I personally think my product will be better.

You don't have to have Brand Registry on Amazon before you start selling!

Great question - you can do a trademark search with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). Just google for USPTO trademark search!
