@@dariuswhite2543 if you are talking about a whistle that I made only blowing wind, it is likely that the sound hole is covered up. If you are talking about a whistle that you made only blowing wind, I would recommend checking out my 4 hole whistle flute making videos. 🙂
Love your neckless. Where did you get it or as it handed down? Please make the larger 4 hole flutes of your Cherokee Whistle. That would be most awesome. Thank for the video of the Cherokee 4 hole whistle.
Thanks Mike. I actually traded a walking stick flute in Mexico for the necklace. It is made of Jade. As for the larger 4 hole flute, I will put that on my list of videos to make. Thanks for watching!
Mike Mistretta You know what Mike, I have misinformed you. The necklace in the video is actually a Cherokee Corn Bead necklace that my wife made for me. The Jade necklace I wear is one that cannot be seen in this video, though I do have it on.
BlueBearArts Hay that is okay. That's awesome that your wife made it for you. I mean that with the bottom of my heart. Really, that is very cool. You're lucky to have a lady like her. :)
I do on occasion Play The 4 hole whistle with one hand. The fingerings are close enough together that it is not too difficult. In the old days, as I understand it, that is how people used to play them. We do make a larger 4 hole flute which may present a little more difficulty in plain single-handed. Thanks for watching!
Hello and thank you for what you are doing! Now, I was looking for a american indian flute, traditional tuning and pref. 6 holes. But I want it to sound clear and whistle-like, still a haunting feel to it. Not like a clarinet typ hum in the deep.. You know what I mean? I've heard a hint of the clearness in some walnut and pine flutes but it still isn't all the way. Do you have any ideas? Brgrds//Oscar (I couldn't send it through your website, something about "unable to find server"-thingy, hope it's alright if I post it here :)
