Imagine being such a good storyteller that you genuinely convince someone they are infinitely dying, leading them to think you are evil when you just want to tell a good story
@@kathl.5598 (Spoilers for Inscryption if you haven’t played it, but here is the explanation regardless) When Inscryption is played for the first time, a character named Leshy controls how the video game works from the inside (but you, the player, don’t know this, so you automatically assume you are playing as a character inside of Inscryption, because Leshy refers to you as such.) Every time you lose while playing Inscryption, the game restarts. Every time the game restarts, Leshy refers to you as a “new challenger,” leading you to believe the previous challenger was killed. In reality, there was NEVER a “challenger” inside of the game world, but instead, YOU, the person playing the game in the real world, is the challenger. From there you assume a “challenger” inside of the game world dies every time you lose, when in reality, that is just a story Leshy is telling you. You can later go on to revoke Leshy’s control over Inscryption, where Leshy ridicules you for not appreciating his story (which was so immersive, that you believed it to the point of assuming Leshy was a murderer.) Hopefully I explained it good 👍
@@kathl.5598 Leshy is the second lesser of four evils, but he keeps the curse on a stable time loop to keep the status quo, but he along with the cabin puzzles, nudges the player onto breaking them all free, he basically pulled a Lelouch
My favourite part is the game going full circle, and managing to almost make me cry during the final game with Leshy while everything gets deleted, when the crazy fucker killed me an uncountable amount of times in the first part.
Deathcard Cabin transports me straight to a hauntingly beautiful, yet terribly bleak and ominous Appalachian landscape. Love it so much. Great game and soundtrack all around.
trapper is my favourite out of the 3 bosses in part 1, the way his mask flipped was so cool and his music was my favourite of them all, gets stuck in my head all the time
Leshy and P03. I love these two and them being polar opposites. Can't believe I had to watch both die in front of me that I went on to play the game a second time.
@@W3LL3GGB3DAMN3D yeah there are also so many other Easter eggs like the duel disks used in the end or some of the cards effects and mechanics like the tribute system or the slifer effect of the hand tentacle are some that I noticed right away, but the music was a big surprise to me and made me even more nostalgic on my playthrough when I first heared the hook, and then I was like this can’t be just me it is so similar haha
There is a part of the song "house of memories" that always make me think of this game, after plenty of listening back/forth with different speed settings I have come to the conclusion that the beat itself is making me think of essentially a mix of "scrybe of technology, uberbot activated and blank canvas" (the last two should be just a remix of SoT though right?) but slightly sped up. it is a very odd feeling to be jamming out to the song and then at the middle of it get boss battle flashbacks 😅
don't ask why, but i think Leshy's theme kind of has the theme (not sure if "theme" is the right word, but you get the point) of all of his followers (Prospector, Angler, Etc.) just in one song. it kind of makes since because in act 1 he has all of their masks, but still, i think its cool.
a leitmotif is a musical phrase or pattern repeated to indicate the presence and/or state of a character, theme, emotion, or event- you're right, all of Leshy's bosses are part of him, so their leitmotifs are woven into his theme :)
that used to be my favourite too in the early game. but there is some really cool music later on in the pixelized act and later, and toward the endgame as well. game truly has uniquely good music in every act. but i do love the angler, they really nailed the feeling that something terrible is about to happen
I personally liked Leshy's theme the most because it really feels like you are facing off a very powerful foe that can easily end you if you make a mistake.
This soundtrack makes me wish I was better at this game so I could actually experience the rest of it. I can figure out the puzzles but beating all the bosses in one run is impossible for my dumbass.
Does anyone know what kind of genre the soundtrack "Deathcard Cabin" is? I wanna make some Art lately based on this exact type of music but I dont know what genre this is
It's really hard to classify... I'd probably say "ritual ambient" is the closest musical genre I can think of. Sometimes its good to know what genre are you inspiring from to create your art... but sometimes its better not to think much about it. Create art and let other people classify it haha. Anyway, are you going to post your art on youtube? I'd be very interested.
ooooogh temple themes i love you so much. please christ put me in a cursed creepypasta video game i just wanna listen to weirdly beautiful square waves and reflect on my life until the written conclusion comes for us. please christ in heaven hear my FUCKING prayers

Bet Grimora is the first lesser of the 4 evils.
Can we all appreciate how disturbing the Trappers theme is? the noise of flesh and fur tearing in the background really adds something to it
it makes it really hard to concentrate on the game, which... might be the point, honestly

it's the most chill song on the soundtrack
One of my favourite video game soundtracks

Truly listening to Final Duel is so interesting, it gets overshadowed by all the wild stuff happening in game but the whole thing is so raw
truth, I think it's incredible how many additional assets and such were created all for the 15 minute finale sequence
Huh. Every song that isn’t a separate character has Leshy’s Leitmotif. Cool!
Honesty I love this game it has so much good lore plus the music is amazing
Grimora's crypt is really beautiful, really makes it feel like the end.
Yeah, the comparison of the death crypt to the game's deletion hits hard.
This is my favorite game of all time. The angler theme is also peak.
temple of beasts made me happy to hear deathcard cabin again
when the piano comes in on Leshy`s Theme, chills
As many times as he completely fucked me over, Leshy holds a forever spot in my heart 🩷
i think Leshy fucked me over one two many times. either that or I'm bad at card games.
Quick edit: my favorite scrybe is Grimora. i think she's cool.
@evelyntrickel4423 I'm horrible at card games, but it's easy to get the hang of
My favorite is P03, only cuz I enjoy TV head characters!
@@Mmmangoid oh, so your favorite is my least favorite scrybe and character. hmmmm...
This game has so many unsettling bangers. Music just meant to raise my cortisol levels 👍
The Angler started playing as soon as I began reading the second chapter to a P03 x Reader fanfic on AO3.

A Final Duel has to be inspired by the first Yu-Gi-Oh theme, there is no way i am making this up right? The hook sounds so similar...
