Yu-Gi-Oh! YuGiOh Dueling Book Master Duel
I was the ghoti player in this replay. I definitely made a few misplays, namely in not using the new level 6 more and keeping up the engine. I think this build is my favorite from testing since it gets your engine set up every hand + some hand traps.
The deck definitely has potential as it's interrupts are really nice into fire king. As you mentioned though, it struggles into boards
Have you tested runick ghoti? Is there synergy there?

10:25 Even though destroying a card in your deck sends it to the graveyard, it's not considered "sending a card from the deck to the graveyard." You can't Ash Blossom Garunix's effect.

He also already used ash on heatsoul at the start of the turn and ash blossom is once per turn

Ghoti has always had potential. Just needed to be in the right meta for it.

Also the ghoti player cant make baronne in g3 since the tuners only let you summon fish synchros with their effects
They didn’t use the effect to summon baronne, they just synchro summoned normally in main 1
You can still just summon non-fish synchros with them in Main Phase
That is only during the opponents turn. During the Ghoti players turn, they just synchro summoned normally.
That game 1 was so interactive its insane. True dueling

10:40 you cant ash garunix. Destroying from deck is not listed on ash

BTW dbgrinder when you were talking about the ghoti player making baronne you should know that if you synchro summon on your opponents turn using those effects you can only make fish synchros, it says on the tuners
Everybody talks about shifter in ghoti deck how it’s good, but in my personal experience it’s terrible. You need fishes in the graveyard to keep your ghotis in rotation. I think it actually almost loses to d shifter if I’m being honest. Maybe dimensional fissure on field at the end of your turn would be way better but haven’t even tried that.
Yes that's true, you need the fishes in GY to the fishes fishing. But psiics from PHNI is doing nice work under shifter, so I could imagine running shifter without struggling under its own effects
It is a good point to have fish in the graveyard but depending on the opponent, a well-applied dimensional shfter can end the opponent's turn. I think that benefit is greater.
