I couldn't wait 'till I got my 2 turntables, Gemini mixer and headphones so I could go down to Music Factory in Times Square and get two copies of Fusion Beats to "CUT UP !!! This is REAL Hip-Hop Straight outta N.Y.C. Not all this kiddie-commercial-country crap that it is today !!! The devolution of a real cultural phenomenon...
+MrSlamCAC Music Factory, Downstairs records, which was actually upstairs lol, Rock N Soul, Colony Records, and Vinyl Mania, just to name a few. But of course Music Factory was the Mecca.
With "Flash It TO The Beat" on the flip. I used to have to play this a couple of times per session at The Jamaica Rollerdome on Jamaica & New York Blvd (now Guy Brewer). Great memories!!!
City: Philadelphia Section: Hunting Park Area: At the “White House” house over near the pool. Audience: Logan, along Broad Street, and all along the perimeters of Hunting Park. Scene: I was that one Puerto Rican rapper (age 10 - 12, through ‘81-83), among a huge black audience, rapping on the mic and taking on all challenges. LoL It was the time of my life, I would use this track to rap my lyrics over it, in battle. IT WAS ON! I would tear this track up. Deejays: Disco Rat and Disco Dino; both DJs were from Logan ((I think), and both knew exactly how to throw that combo of mixing and scratching to that old school style to songs like Bozo Meko, but also to Bounce, Rock, Skate (Get Down), Good Times, and Drummer’s Beat, songs like that. I appreciate a deejay that helped me keep it in that old school GrandMaster Flash & Melle Mel style from Live Conversation ‘81. That was in “live performances,” sounding on point, no hiccups as the DJ cuts in while you’re emceeing and he does not throw you off your flow. He’s just got his scratching and cuts right in sync with your rapping (lyrical flow). And both of y’all got the crowd partying their asses off. Those types are the best. Like Rat & Dino. And props to SpinBad, CashMoney, and Jazzy Jeff. And even before Disco Dino & Disco Rat, in the Hunting Park section of North Philly, there was a group called “Sound Experience”. The group was owned by my friend’s older brother, name Pete and he was the deejay, and two of the rappers were named Wonder Wave, and the other was named Super Star.
lot of people don't know the name of this track like myself because DJ's back in the day used tot the label so no one would know what it is. It took me awhile myself to figure this out but my boy told me back in 2008. I love this beat here. As a kid went to many Jams out in the Boogie Down Bronx, The DJ's would go crazy on this beat

Jason Storm It was an Afrika Islam pause tape if I'm not mistaken...
oskamadison I must have dreamed it was Chuck Chillout or something, everything I'm finding online says it was Afrika Islam. My mistake!
Jason, I heard that from Breakbeat Lou in his Boiler Room video. Check it out sometimes...
Afrika Islam played this on his WHBI Zulu Beat Show after the World famous Supreme Team Show
