Strange fact - the story of Akihiko and Ugetsu is more logical, detailed and tragic in the narrative than the story of the main couple Mafuyu and Yuki. The story of a pair of Ugetsu-Akihiko is very bitter, heavy, and even at the very end this bitterness remains in the soul and I want to shout "come back!". The case when, as already mentioned in the previous comment, two people meet at the wrong time. Thank you so much for this AMV. It's bitter like the story itself, but I can't get enough of watching it, because it too beautiful sadness...
For me Akihiko and Ugetsu's story is more painful than Mafuyu's and Yuki's- if only for the fact that Yuki passed away and it was beyond Mafuyu's control. But Ugetsu loved Akihiko to the point that he knows that the love he feels is not doing either of them any good. To acknowledge that weakness- that shortcoming- takes maturity and a very strong heart- a heart stronger than the yearning and the longing to just go on because you're too selfish to give that love away to someone else. Ugetsu realized he must do what only he could do- and that is to find a reason for Akihiko to give him up. If it were up to Ugetsu, Akihiko wouldn't have left. But if Akihiko decides on his own to leave, Ugetsu knows he would leave for good- so he has to act the part of the bad person who throws away the relationship in order to compel Akihiko to leave and let go. Unlike Haruki who kept clinging to Akihiko despite Akihiko's immaturity, Ugetsu felt that no love is strong enough to excuse the toxicity and the dependence. What he did rmay have been too hurting, but it released Akihiko from that toxicity... until he was able to see another path for him- a path that led to Haruki. If I were Akihiko, I wouldn't run into the arms of another man to find comfort after the rejection. And if I were Haruki, I would've long ago tried to find someone worthy of my love- instead of waiting for the rebound.

It's all too easy to be selfish especially when you're in a relationship where the other person just too accepting and tolerant. But I think only those who have a hard time letting go- but still let go when it's the ONLY way to save both of you- are the ones who truly love. They say this kind of love is kinda masochistic... but I disagree. No lover enjoys the pain or the suffering. But accepting the hurt is also part of growing up and becoming a stronger person.

My favourite character is haruki and i love akihiko with haruki and stuff, but i also love ugetsu. tbh, i like all three of them, if i had to choose, id still choose haruki over the others but i dont feel like akihiko, even if i like him deserves haruki and ugetsu fighting for his heart. both deserve so much and akihiko surely is a loving bf, but i want haruki and ugetsu to get along and i dont like the fact that the given fans either choose haruki o ugetsu most of the time to back up a ship idk.

Kaji love ugetso and had to give up his love for violin, lost his way and around but his love is gone eventually and he just needed to let go which is difficult for him cause all that’s left was the pain. Holding on to things that needs to be let go.. Sighh can’t get over this drama.. but I’m happy that mafuyu made a song that it’s okay.. it’ll be alright.
