there were two halves of this community during 2016-2019.
the major half was made up of the skilled people - the people whose names you'd hear everywhere. the people who were in everything. the people we admired.
the other half were the unskilled people - the viewers, the followers. they couldn't draw or animate, and every time they tried they would pretty much fail. though, they would still make up fun ocs and scenarios in their heads and pretended.

omg ikr it's so insane since i got into vocaloid years after my animation meme phase, and it feels so weird seeing everything i used to love before, little did i know back then what i was listening to and how much i'd be involved with those songs i imagined scenarios in themselves later
when i was 8, i stumbled apon the community. I aspired so much to be like them. I'd try my best, and wished so hard that years later I'd be able to draw as good as them. It happened, finally, but now its too late. All the good animators are barely active, and I've seen the mostly disgusting, shitty animation memes about pedophilia and self harm and sadism. I wish so bad I had been born years earlier. So nowadays, I gave up on that dream and now i aspire to be an animator when im older; i cant let those 6 years of drawing and animating go to waste, after all.
And it’s never too late to start !! Pursue your passion and inspire the next generation to come like how they inspired you
you don't have to be a follower, you can always be the leader :) inspire people to recreated and form the animation community we once knew, back to its glory. don't let all those years go down the drain to a goal that can only happen years from now. you can always do you and most likely; if your stuff is good, you'll grow! ♡

This reminds me of when I was younger. I was in the community and it helped me through covid. Imagining my fun little characters getting up to shenanigans, being angsty and wild. I still have a character of mine from then, he is special to me and was a puppet of what I wished I could have been, it helped me realize im ok the way I am, im not flawless but im far from horrible (I think). I had so much confidence and dreams then. I still have the dream from then to become a cartoonist. This certain character was who I was online, he represented everything I couldn't be (he was also obviously the main character). Ah the old days of giving innocent kids trauma and god like powers whilst being a hybrid usually. The angst and drama we put them through is truly amazing, Id like to think of these songs mashed together as their national anthem in the little head spaces that we have, like a world where they all meet. Some are retired now but id like to think they are all friends and get along, its silly but comforting to know something so special to random people gets along with my silly character. I started watching animation memes in elementary and today i am now going to college still pursuing art amd drawing because of how much inspiration the people who made these animations gave me. I used to love being this community, I don’t go into this community that much it, but hold a special place in my heart!
I found the amc when I was abt 12/13 and it helped get through a lot of traumatic stuff that happened during that time of my life and I honestly don’t see myself leaving anytime soon, coming from a now 19 year old who clearly hasn’t grown up haha
this playlist got me SOBBING. i remember the fnaf or undertale animations and they would have me jumping around my room. i thought they were the coolest things ever and i always wished to become an animator, but now i hate drawing because im afraid of being compared to someone bad. but i love drawing by itself and wish i could do it more, but now im a broke college art student who wishes they could relive their childhood. oh how the time has slipped away :/

i used to be an animator when i was 10 five years ago, but later on i lost motivation. fandoms like cuphead and bendy were characters i used a lot in my animation memes. i made a lot of internet friends who shared my interests but i don’t talk to any of them anymore.

I remember finding so much joy in watching animation memes. I always found it so amazing how well people were able to draw and how smooth the animations were. And their OC's were so cool, it was really cool how a short animation could show so much about their OC's and stuff. I miss when the animation meme community was mostly edgy or cute animations. Now it's filled with weirdos (p3d0s and gr00m3ers). There always were weirdos, but there's even more of them now. I don't regularly watch animation memes like I used to as a kid, but when some pop up on my recommended I still watch them and find them really cool. I miss being a kid.
