In the rugged mountains of northern China, Father Michael arrived at the remote mission-post of St. Jude, weary yet resolute in his faith. With him was Mei-Ling, a spirited young woman from a nearby village who had found solace in his company amidst the chaos of war. The aging Father O'Malley welcomed them warmly, relieved to pass the torch of caretaker for the modest church and school. However, their peaceful respite was shattered when Communist soldiers stormed the mission, turning the sacred grounds into a fortress of ideology. Among them, Captain Li, a hardened leader disillusioned by the brutality of his own cause, forced himself upon Mei-Ling, setting in motion a chain of events that would test their faith, love, and resilience. As they fled into the unforgiving wilderness, pursued by relentless forces, their journey became a desperate quest for redemption and survival against the backdrop of a nation torn apart by revolution.

Good film. Wrong name. The correct name is "Satan Never Sleeps," AKA "The Devil Never Sleeps," and "Flight From Terror." 1962. The comments under more are incorrect too.
Film retitled (and credits trimmed) presumably to avoid copyright issues, rather than the 'wrong title'...

Okay you movie buffs. I saw a black and white British movie about an elderly gentleman that was running and hiding out from the British Secret Service. He had a suspicious leather brief case that I think that he had an atomic weapon of sorts.
I can’t remember who the actors were but it was one of those chase movies. He was having to live by his wits by staying a few steps ahead of the law.
The movie is from the fifties or early sixties..

@@louispitalo7401 You're welcome! High Treason is on YT (not to be confused with the 1929/1930 film), and there are clips of Seven Days to Noon there also. I bought the latter on DVD ages ago and there are copies on eBay from £5, or £4 if you count one which might be 'grey market'... 😸🦊
